I have been several times before in this hotel which had an ok service and a great location so when I would go to NYC I would in general book there. To my surprise the hotel is no longer part of Hilton chain (despite I...More
My mom and I stayed here for a weekend trip and were very happy with our stay. We requested a high floor when we booked online and we were placed on the 18th floor (of 19). The room was small in nature, but sufficient for...More
Great location and really helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is close to Canal St and Spring Street metro stations.
In walking distance to Greenwich Village.
A great well positioned budget friendly hotel. Would Stay here again.
BEWARE! This hotel is a step below the grimy local motel in any city you've ever been in. I am slightly suprised they don't offer rates by the hour. Light fixtures in pieces, shower dirty, carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned or replaced in...More
One downside why I wouldn't stay here again is that the ice machine in the cellar produced fragments of ice with dirt specks inside. This turned my stomach. I had stayed here a number of years before and I don't remember this being the case...More

Rooms facing the back are quieter as they face an office building across an alley. As for yogurt, you won't find what you want at this hotel but there are two food shops on Varick around the corner as you head south on Varick. Or you can go north on Varick and there is an 'Essen market that has many yogurt parfait's made to order. And remember, this is Manhattan! Chelsea Market is close to the 8th street stop off the subway. Bleecker Street and Carmine have many specialty shops for food. You may need to fill your ice container to store your yogurt if you have to have it every morning. Chalk Farm Kitchen is just up the street as well with their farm to table food.
