Nice size for a NYC room! 2 adults, 2 teens. Front desk and doormen were always fun and friendly! Spent 3 nights. Short walk to Times Square, safe area, nice local pubs within a block, yet away from the noise, hustle and bustle. Bus loop tours have a stop 2 blocks away! Would stay here again! Thank you San Carlos...

We just returned from a 2 night stay. The San Carlos was perfect for our family of mom, dad, two teenagers and a 6-year-old with 2 queen beds in one room and a pull-out couch in the other, with a living area. Staff was very friendly and helpful at every turn. Room was very clean, although the tub/shower area showed...

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel!!! From there time we entered the front door, to the time that we left to return home, the room did not disappoint our rest. The sheets were so clean that we could smell the detergent in them as we rested on them, and did we mention how CLEAN the...

After a devastating medical diagnosis, we were looking for a hotel close to a hospital in NYC for an emergency surgery. We stumbled upon the San Carlos and saw that it was extremely close. We attempted to book online, but decided that calling the hotel directly would be quicker. We spoke to someone named Fabio and explained our situation and...

I have been in NY many times for business reasons and try my best to stay at San Carlos. It's a very good hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and the service you need to feel comfy. A very simple, but good enough continental breakfast is included in the rate. Free wi-fi. All the rooms I have stayed in has had...

I stayed at the San Carlos in beginning of February 2013 with my parents and my 9 year old son. We had a a one bedroom queen suite with kitchen. This was perfect for us as we travelled from Europe so because of the jet lag, by 8pm the 9 year-old was sound asleep. Having the living room was a...

We stay at the San Carlos every time we go to NYC! Typically 6 times a year. Our son is at Columbia and although the hotel is on the east side and we end up spending a bit more on cab fare to get over to Morningside..... we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!!!! Great location, amazing staff! Bobby, Matthew...

We took our 13 year old son to visit NY for his birthday. My husband and I have visited the city several times, but this is the first stay at the San Carlos. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
