The room was clean but freezing with no heater. We did get a space heater upon request. But there was no coffee in the room, no soap in the shower and no wash cloths. When we requested a bath mat front desk promised us one but it never came! Worst housekeepers I've ever encountered.

This is a very nice location, centrally located to be able to walk to a lot of key NYC areas. They have a friendly staff, great morning breakfast, clean rooms, it was an over all pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend.

My extended family stayed at the Roger this May and could not be happier with our choice. The hotel has an excellent location in midtown near 2 subway stops, the rooms were attractive, clean and larger than expected, beds were very comfortable, and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. The hotel also...

Nice lobby, friendly staff. The room for this price point was small and under appointed. The bathroom was so small as to be practically unusable. The hot water was very slow to warm. With the other choices in the area, I'd look elsewhere.

This past weekend i visited ny and was looking at a few options, W, Citizen M and saw the Roger had a premier room with view. Its in mid town so I wanted to try mid town instead of upper east side per usual. I chose this over W because of the view. There was a $ different between the...

It's quite comfortable location for the food and shopping but also for the business meeting, hope the breakfirst menu bocmes littel more kinds and better quality. If possible, visitors like to get the service of the coffee and beverage in day time all.

The Roger is superbly located in Midtown on Madison Ave and was a perfect location to explore Manhattan. Very attentive staff, nice clean modern rooms and so quiet at all hours. Just a few blocks away from Central Station, Penn Stations and 42nd & Broadway. Good inexpensive breakfast spot across the road saved me the US$29 that the hotel charges...

I stayed here with my two daughters for four nights.Delighted with the choice.Location in midtown near the subway stops means that it is easy to get anywhere. We had a superior room with two double beds and it was perfectly adequate size wise. The bathroom is compact but we did not find it a problem.Yes the mini bar extras are expensive but...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
