I went for a 3-night stay with my husband and 3-year old daughter. The location is just perfect - close to anything you need. Rooms and bathroom are renovated. I must though, advise that what they call junior suite is not a suite, it's just a bedroom. And the bedroom is really small (well, this is the Manhattan reality). There...

Great location. However, they are currently having work done to the front lobby area. What was not enjoyable is the lack of hot water! During our 4 day stay only 1.5 of my showers were hot (tried to have 2 showers a day due to the hot sticky weather). After speaking with the front desk early evening we magically had...

First time at the Chelsea Inn and have to say it was a great experience. Hotel was clean, price was right, great location, great staff, close to subways and nearby restaurants. Would recommended staying at this hotel to anyone who wants all the above listed.

The room was small but clean and perfect for what I needed. The bathroom was a decent size, clean and recently remodeled. There is a nice bar restaurant next door that had good beers on tap and happy hour pricing. The rooms air conditioner was silent and kept the room cold. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Really couldn't ask...

This hotel was a "real" New York experience in that we felt like we were staying in a New York style apartment which added to our wonderful experience of the city. Close to subway on 16th Street and close to both 5th and 6th Avenue. Time Square is a reasonable walk as well. While the rooms are very small, you...

Very pleased with the room. The hotel is currently doing renovations but that didn't matter to me. My room was recently renovated, clean, modern, and comfortable. Yes the room was small but I knew that going in...besides this is Manhattan! Great location. The staff did their job...not overtly friendly but again this is Manhattan.

We spent one night at the Chelsea Inn, a Saturday night and it was just wonderful. There were four of us and two couples each had their own private bedroom and both couples shared a bathroom. This was great because no one else other than the two couples had access to that particular bathroom. The rooms are very nice, clean...

I was very apprehensive about staying at this hotel after reading recent reviews since the renovations started and not being informed at my time of booking or since that this would be taking place. However on arrival it was lovely to be impressed and make our minds up. This hotel is in a great location, close to several subway stations...

filthy, noisy, staff seems not to want to be bothered, and the worst: they take 150$ as a guarantee and tell you it will be refunded right away...it is NOT so. I checked out 2 days ago, and money is still not refunded. Scam...

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
