This is a very affordable place to stay just steps away from a direct subway line to Times Square. Our room was quite small but highly functional - just 2 feet bigger on all sides of our King sized bed. The bathroom was tight, but again, highly functional. The front desk staff were all very helpful and extremely friendly. I...

Small rooms (two people need to coordinate movements to avoid bumping into each other), very clean, strong wifi, coffee in the lobby, funky decor, good location near Chinatown. Our room had night tables made from old packing crates which gave an interesting feel to the room as did the artsy NYC themed drawing on the wall - painted ON the...

Small rooms, but perfectly adequate, clean and good value with all the amenities you need (esp. air con). Bit of noise from the street, but you get used to that...I slept fine. Breakfast is just tea, water and coffee, but that's all you need...there are plenty of breakfast places you can use in the area, just walking distance away... and...

We had an room with a view out on Canal st so we got this true NYC feeling inn our bed. It was clean and had a good tv but small but that did not matter because when you are in NY you want to stay out on the streets as much you can. The staff was lovely and helpfull....

This hotel is very basic but clean, with comfy bed and small but nice bathroom. Reminds me of places we have stayed in other countries. The staff is very helpful. It is located right at the corner of Canal and Lafayette, so it is technically in Soho but also in Chinatown. The traffic noise is an issue, but the hotel...

What a fantastic location for a hotel--on the crossroads of SoHo, Little Italy, Chinatown, and Tribeca. The hotel is small and well-run. very friendly staff. The rooms have a hip/recycled vibe, with a cartoon painted by a local artist on one wall of every room. Walk out the door, and you're in the middle of some of the most delicious...

We stayed there for a night as we were starting a tour in the area the next morning. The location at night didn't seem very appealing and there wasn't anything open for food at 23:00 o'clock that we arrived. The hotel on the other hand was very nice! Big comfortable bed clean with a nice bathroom. The only disappointing was...

First the staff, incredibly helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble and they know the area well. This hotel is perfectly located for use of public transport and there is much to do within walking distance. This hotel was for me a perfect combination of value, location and comfort. The rooms and decor are trendy industrial chic, a nice change from...

CityRooms reception were a great assistance in supporting me with a short, last minute trip that was pretty much changing daily before my departure. Customer service was prompt, informative, efficient and understanding. Though compact, the ensuite room I was allocated had all one would need, the bed was comfortable and hospitality was quick to ensure all was clean and well...

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
