We stayed 5 nights from December 26 thru 31st, arguably the busiest week for tourists in NYC the entire year. How decadent to be able to retreat back to the comfort of our chic hotel, steps from Lincoln Center with the Metropolitan opera, the ballet, the NY Philharmonic, and Broadway production of The King and I all in one place....

I have stayed several times at the Empire Hotel going back since the late 70's but it's been a while since I've been back. The Empire is a boutique hotel that over the years had some face lifts that I would best characterize today as an old grand dame with a new funky look! I admit that prior to the...

We did not choose this hotel but were sent there when there was a mix up with our hotel booking service. This hotel was clean and the service was good. Staff were pleasant. The lighting and decor were part of the styling of this hotel. It is a fairly standard four star hotel in a good location. Room service menu...

Firstly the location is excellent, around 7 mins walk to Central Park and 25 mins walk away from Times Square. There are subways close by at Columbus circle on 59th south and on 66th street north. The hotel lobby is impressive with a contemporary vibe and is atmospherically lit. The bar area is extended to a mezzanine just up a...

Take care of the noise from the ventilation system - do not accept a room with internal position. The room is small but OK clean and Rudy. Very good site in NY midtown. The noise from the ventilation system in the internal tract og the hotel is sleep-preventing.

There is a lot to like about the Empire -- terrific views of Lincoln Center, proximity to both Central Park and the theaters, boutique style, and manageable size. The rooms are well appointed. If you can afford it, I recommend getting the larger deluxe room, well worth the extra cost. The hotel is very clean and the maid staff does...
