We travelled as a family of 20 and spent 8 nights in New York and stayed at the AKA Apartments, Time Square. The location, the friendliness of the staff, having an apartment with a kitchen and washer & dryer was brilliant. We all enjoyed our stay there so much we would certainly use the same hotel when we return to... More

We st aged at the AKA Time Square fo 6 nights during the summer. It was excellent. The location very good, the rooms excellent, and the staff helpful and professional. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and had more room than expected of a NYC hotel, with a nice lounge and kitchen area. There are great Restuarant's nearby as... More

If you are travelling as a family or two couples this Apartment hotel is the best. The room had two well furnished bedrooms as well as a dining table, kitchen and lounge in a main room. The staff were some of the best I've had staying anywhere in the world. The location is walking distance to great local deli's and... More

We recently stayed at the AKA Times Square for 7 nights. Our 1 bedroom apartment (208) was spacious with a fully functional kitchen and washing machine & Dryer. There was a lot of storage space for clothes and suitcases. The lounge/kitchen faced the front with the bedroom at the back, so very quiet. There is a beautiful roof top terrace,... More

We loved the location - so close to all the theaters and the Ticket Booth; we loved our own kitchen for morning coffee and quick breakfasts before a day of museums and theatre, we loved having laundry right in apt - (we had been traveling for 2 weeks before arriving in NYC); we loved comfortable quiet bedroom and large living... We had the best experience in this hotel. We had a long vacation, staying in multiple hotels, even other ones in NYC, but AKA Times Square had just everything we needed. The room was small but very well equipped. The view was fantastic, we could see Times Square from our bed. The staff was so friendly and helpful, it felt... More

Highly disappointed as I had high expectations based on the reviews. But it seems like there is no housekeeping as my room was extremely dirty when we checked in and the staff was not able to move us to an another room and had to split the family to sleep in two different rooms. It was a disastrous start of... More

I stayed for 3 weeks during summer and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location is fantastic as you're right in the middle of Times Square and Walgreen is but a short walk away. There are also nice restaurants around the area. Good base to travel around NYC!

We've stayed here during our girls only trip. We've had a fabulous time here. It is more like a serviced apartment than a hotel which worked perfectly for us, as we had a huge living room to chat and drink. It is in a great location (1 min walk to Times Square) yet it is relatively quiet and calm. I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
