We chose this place based upon online reviews and price. We were a little concerned because it was quite cheap in comparison to the competition, but were pleasantly surprised. The place is well located on the Upper West Side, close to Central Park and the subway, so getting in and out of downtown is easy. The staff are very friendly...

A 5 minute walk from the 96st street subway station. My room was a tad small compared to other rooms I've seen. Rooms and common areas are clean. Nice kitchen area. There's a grocery store around the 104th. Best price I could find in Manhattan at the time. Friendly staff, especially the security guy :-)

I stayed 4 days at the Broadway, beginning of August. queen-size bed, shared bathroom. The room was small but o.k. for N.Y. standards, the shared bathroom always clean (of course thanks to the other guests, but also because on our floor there were 2 bathrooms for just few rooms), the a.c. not too loud, with the addition of a fan....

Location good (close to subway) with safe surrounding. Lobby and bar are nice, staff was friendly. The furnishment and decoration in rooms is older, but everything correct for this price in NYC. Windows with bad isolation, sometimes quite noisy (Broadway!). The bathroom (we had a room with private bathroom) was clean. Would probably stay there again, hard to beat for...

A great place to stay on a budgeted trip to NYC. Very friendly staff, very close to subways, and walking distance from the west side of central Park. Getting to the City is very easy by subway. The place is great value for money! Loved my stay!!

This was my 2nd stay here at Broadway Hotel & Hostel. I got to spend a little bit more time here than my last visit. My likes: soft sheets, comfy bed sink in room a/c (great for white noise as well if you are a light sleeper) bathrooms are plentiful and clean elevator , slow but works ! beats the...

Very good location - close to the subway and lots of convenience stores and places to grab some dinner nearby. Beds were comfy (bunk style in the hostel rooms), big communal area downstairs. Each floor had about 4 bathrooms so it was very rare to have to wait for a spare one which was great! Only complaint would be that...

I was a female travelling alone for four days and the hotel was in a great location. The two blocks to the 103rd street station are a pleasure to walk and always safe - locals on the upper west side were always friendly, including the young African American guys who run the convenience store across the street. Downstairs is clean...

We like the place because we can have our private room in a very reasonable price. We got a purple room with a bunk bed. There is air conditioning, a sink and lockers in the room too. Our floor has 6 bath rooms. Thus no waiting There is not much common area and no activities going on though.

Our Girl Scout group of 10 high school girls and five mama chaperones had a wonderful experience at this hotel...we felt comfortable letting girls room independently, and never had trouble with access to the shared bathroom/shower areas. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We had two rooms with ensuite baths, and two with baths in...
