Hotel's Favourite
I wrote a one star review, not sure what site, back in June due to a fire at the hotel. It forced us to stay at another hotel that Hilton owned but it was far from the quality of this hotel. I wrote a scathing review. Well, I am here to eat those words as Hilton has gone above and beyond to make up for that terrible day. I can't comment on this hotel's quality but rather to say as a corporation they do listen to their customers and truly do care. Kudos Hilton.... I am a Happy!!

+1
This was our second stay at this hotel and we chose to stay again for the location and knowing that it will be of a standard that we can expect from the Garden Inn. We chose a corner room Times Square view and we were able to choose our room by booking through the Hilton website we chose 3608 and were not disappointed. A corner room offers a little more space and views of the Waterford crystal New Years ball that changes colour all night long.
Once the curtains are closed you don’t hear any Times Square noise or lights and the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom is clean and modern but has some design issues with the water leaking on to the floor afterwards and the water pressure is not good...but hey you’re in New York get over it!
The location is fantastic for walking and for the subway.
In all a great 9 night stay

We stayed here this past weekend for my daughters gymnastics meet. We had a great experience. We normally stay at smaller boutique hotels in NYC but we stayed here as part of the discounted rates for the meet and it was great. The rooms were nice and so quiet, we were amazed at how quiet it was for bring so close to Times Square. They accommodated giving us two rooms side by side as we requested and the front desk staff was very helpful. Our only complaint was how expensive the breakfast was but since it is New York we were not completely shocked by it.

Our family booked the Hilton Garden Inn because we wanted to take our children to see the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and experience NY in the City. We got to the Hilton much earlier than our check in time, but the staff at reception were welcoming nonetheless and tagged our luggage so we could spend time exploring before our check in time.
When we checked in, Michelle had a warm smile and friendly disposition that my kids instantly felt connected to her. She was equally pleasant with all of the other guests that she spoke to, so we felt like we were houseguests. Throughout our 2 day visit, Michelle recognized us and addressed us by name (what a memory for faces!) and took care of simple comforts like water and snacks.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and safe. The location was so close to all of the action of Times Square. We could even see the New Year’s ball when we leaned against our window. We could hear minor city noise, of course, but heard nothing of other guests around us. We dined in the hotel restaurant for dinner on Saturday night and then again for breakfast buffet. The kids felt like we got the royal treatment with how kind and helpful the staff were.
We will DEFINITELY return to Hilton Garden Inn Times Square the next time we visit New York City.

Love this place! The location couldn't have been any more perfect for where we needed to be. Management and staff are all wonderful and nice. Needed to extend our stay and it was incredibly easy. Room was fairly quiet and had a microwave, fridge and we could see the Times Square NYE ball outside our window.
My only notations were that we were missing a suitcase rack (guess I've gotten spoiled over time), but they did have an ironing board. I thought that Paul's menu (their restaurant) would be similar to what was listed on their room service offerings, but not the case. Figured we'd get a light lunch with a wrap and a small pizza for around $30. Average plate cost was around $23, ended up spending $50. I'll know to order room service next time! Breakfast is around $28/person and includes made to order eggs, pancakes, French toast and other offerings.
Regardless of the above, I still think they deserve 5 stars. Will definitely stay here again!

This Hilton supplied comfort and a Midtown location for my walks around that storied island called Manhattan.
I love walking the neighborhoods of West Village, East Village, Upper East Side, and of course, the star of the show, Central Park. All the stories of NYC's energy are true.
Michelle provided a smiling and helpful check-in. She is above and beyond in service. Room 3408 has the windows for views of the city and river, a quick cool air conditioning system, powerful hot shower and a quiet small floor to allow any traveler rest. The refrigerator and microwave are convenient to use.
Added with the overall cleanliness and efficient elevators makes this a pleasant stay.

We got 2 rooms at this hotel. We came into town to go see a play. It was about a 4-5 min walk to the Lyric Theater. Perfect! It is right at Times Square, in the theater district and has parking an easy block away. You can choose valet at $60/day or if staying at the hotel, $50/day to drop it off yourself and then the garage attendants park it.
The hotel itself needs some updating, but it was clean and surprisingly quiet! The only complaint for me was that we were in room 608. It is just above a very large video monitor like you see all over Times Square. The changing light patterns crept thru the edges and top of the curtains all night long. It didn't bother my husband at all.
Again, the hotel needs updating and I found a sticker from a new face powder stuck to the bathroom cabinet, BUT it was otherwise clean with nice staff and a phenomenal location.
Breakfast was typical cook-to-order HGI. The bartender in the evening made a nice Manhattan, too!😉

Stayed there the day before Broadway was shuttered due to coronavirus and no hand sanitizer near the entry way, the checkin desk, the elevators, or the restaurant. Unacceptable. Rooms are small and quiet even overlooking busy 42nd Street. Restaurant prix fixe breakfast, the same Sysco fare you get at any Hilton Garden Inn around the country for free, is $28.49 / person before taxes. Highway robbery. Front desk staff was not accommodating to any requests. Doubt I would stay here again.

This hotel was in a great location - walking distance to several spots and located less than 5 minutes from subway. With this hotel being so close to Times Square the size of the lobby at check-in time becomes very chaotic- not many places to step aside to wait. Skip the hotel bar/restaurant overpriced for such few options so many better and nicer restaurants in close walking distance

I have never stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn nor a Hilton at all. I have stayed at their Wardolf brand. I was very impressed with this hotel. Customer service was top-notch. The rooms facing Times Square are worth the slight up charge because they are more spacious and have a nice view. Lucia and Ash and the lovely people at the front desk, house keeping and the restaurant below are all top notch. And believe me I have been exposed to great service as my prior stay a few weeks ago was the Four Season in Maui. The location is amazing, the coffee in rooms, the microwave, the little store in the lobby and Starbucks and Walgreens across the street. I have stayed in many final hotels in New York City. Most all of them were more expensive hotels but for value I think Hilton Garden in Time Square, Central wins. I will be back. By the way a little gym was really perfect for me with the kettle bell workout and there is even a laundry room for guests.gv
