American Express recommended this hotel and it was a great selection. I'm not terribly fond of contemporary design but the rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. A great shower is a real pleasure and this hotel rates very high in this category. My friend says she's going to get a rain shower head after enjoying one at...

Just wanted to thank all the staff at The London for another great stay. Special thanks to Jimmy at the front desk for finding my husband's hat which fell out of his bag and was then taken by someone walking out the hotel. Jimmy ran outside and took the hat back for my husband. Thanks again. As well, thank you...

My stay at The London NYC was transformed by very accomodating reception staff. The room I was originally allocated - on the 25th floor - whilst huge, had very little in the way of a view. A wall of windows across W.54th St was about all I could see. I was offered a room on the 51st floor which would...

Stayed for two nights on business. Perfect location for mid-town meetings. Very spacious rooms, which is a rarity in NYC. Rooms were clean and well designed. Staff was very friendly and helpful from the doormen to the conscierge and reception. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, didn't have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but my colleague did and praised the food from...

Stayed at the London NYC in November 2013 for the weekend after a conference. Loved the suite. It was spacious and had a feeling of an apartment versus a hotel. Bedroom was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom had a very unique double shower -- fun for a couple. The living area had its own wall mounted flat screen, desk,...

The rooms are spacious, in fact huge considering the awesome location. Central Park, Broadway, MOMA are all comfortably close. The multi-functional breakfast/dinner/bar Maze room was convenient if you were pressed for time... but best for expense account travellers. The buffet breakfast had limited selection but the items they put out were of good quality, at least judging by the smoked...

Always a pleasant stay at The London. It is ideal for those who dislike the buzz and hassle of crowds at lobby floor of big chain hotels. The suites are spacious and the set up makes you feel lesser at a hotel. Breakfast included and food is good. Afterall it's from Gorden Ramsey's kitchen. Staff and services varied occasionally but...

While location is at a premium The London is a great comfortable hotel in the city. As promised the rooms are all suites. Nice living room area with work desk and space to have some friends over for a visit. This helps as there really isn't a lounge area in the lobby of the hotel. The welcome included bottled water...

The London NYC was so great! The staff were the best ! They went out of their way to make our stay fun, exciting and memorable. Having been so spoiled it wouldn't be the same to go anywhere else in NYC! A million thanks!

The first thing that struck me about the NYC was how amazing the staff were. We arrived a couple of hours early and rather than us having to return later, the front desk found a similar room we could check into straight away. The suite was the most spacious I've stayed in and it was both clean and well equipped....

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
