The location is great, the rooms are dated and are in need of refurbishment. I didn't try the bar or the restaurant. It took me 45 minutes to check in, which after a 7 hour flight is slightly irritating ! The reception staff did hand out bottles of water to the people waiting to be checked in, which was a...

The location is perfect for most NYC exploring - close to 5th Avenue shopping. The rooms are a bit larger than some Manhattan hotel rooms. The elevators are relatively fast and accessible with the separation of floors. Unique and pretty impressive food market with lots of choices and options for avoiding room service!

This place is okay if you're on a budget. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. The room was mostly clean but they could have done a bit more to make the hotel a bit more attractive. And the bathrooms are way tiny. Don't try sharing it with your boyfriend whose idea of getting dressed is a hot shower, clothes and voila!

Excellent location and memorable service and amenities. The welcoming process at check-in was easy and despite the line, never felt rushed or neglected. The facilities are certainly convention worthy and the first night (of three) I was in a suite with a fabulous king bed. The next two nights in a "regular" room - immaculate and seemed newly renovated. Staff...

Service was great, location was excellent! This hotel was within walking distance to the Empire State building, Time square, and less than a block away from Fogo de chao. Everything was convenient. The food was good. I would definitely stay there again.

This Hotel is well located and convenient for much of what NY has to offer. Although very busy and bustling it is clean and well kept. The rooms on our floor were dated but acceptable. The bed was very comfortable. The room cleaners were very friendly and efficient. The quality of the other staff is highly variable. The check in...

This was a repeat stay at this hotel and we were happy to find recent improvements to the lobby, rooms and restaurant facility. Staff are all very courteous and helpful. We did have a problem with our room not being the size or location we had requested. Be careful to not get a room near the elevator shaft as it...

I really don't have any complaints about this hotel. The location cannot be beat. Impressive lobby, standard rooms. Apparently someone important (or a celebrity) was staying while we were there, because there was a huge security presence in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded from a standard to "presidential" suite on 42nd floor. This is ideal for a family stay....suites are huge and have clearly been very recently refurbished. Also a decent view of Central Park. Getting use of the exec lounge makes a big difference. The inclusive continental breakfast is pretty good, and the free soft...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
