We opted for this hotel as it had larger rooms and was a little further out reflected by the price. The hotel is a good base for a trip to New York. There are restaurants and a couple of bars near to it and a McDonald's. we used McDonald's for a quick and reasonable breakfast option. We walked everywhere from...

Hotel was ideal, close to 5th Avenue, Times Square a great base for visiting tourist attractions. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel could do with upgrading as it somewhat tired and dated. Room was very clean and tidy, but was tired looking in decor. Breakfast free, but very basic i.e muffins, cereal, toast and coffee, very limited...

Had a quick weekend stay at the Holiday Inn Express on 5th Ave. & 45th St. Stay was awesome. Staff were friendly, rooms spacious and very clean. Location was great for the attractions we were interested in.

Steps from Fifth Avenue, this hotel is walkable to tons of restaurants, attractions and subways. The room was nicely furnished and quiet considering its location. I did think the bed could use replacement. Front desk personnel were friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel really has no lobby to speak of and the breakfast area is inadequate at best but if...

The room and bath are of adequate size. Hot water is unreliable. The reception staff said at night they switch the hot water system off so my first night, having arrived late and tired had to shower in cold water. Other nights it was hard to get the right temperature, it was either burning hot or cold. This may be...

We stayed here for 10 Days with our two girls (16 & 6) in February 2017. After a long day of travelling from the UK,we were greeted by a lovely young woman who checked us in within two minutes of arrival. When we got to the room we were surprised by the size of the room. Quiet spacious with two...

Great location, just two blocks up to the theatres and restaurants. Larger room/suite than expected, clean, fast elevator service. Coffee as usual always available. But, on the negative side: no pool (of course, it is Manhattan), Worst breakfast service I have ever had at a HIE. Watered down juices, no pancakes or waffles. Only a few mini-muffins and few slices...

I usually like breakfast at the holiday inn express. Get some eggs, hot cinnamon rolls, and maybe a waffle or biscuits and gravy. This hotel has none of that. There are 30 seats and over 100 people trying to get a seat in the way too small lobby/breakfast room. Never have I seen such long lines for mini muffins and...

Currently in this hotel. There is no hot water in bathroom, staff says "It's an old building." There are no hot foods at breakfast as is the standard for EVERY OTHER HIE I've used. I am not able to use sugar or imitation sweeteners with coffee/tea because of medical, all other HIE have packs of honey, not this one; and...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
