My daughter and I stayed at the Time Square Residence Inn using Marriott points so the price was right. At 39th & Avenue of the Americas I would consider it more in the Fashion District but it is not too far of a walk to the theatres and the center of Time Square. Check-in was quick, friendly and efficient. The...

Dear R2BBrock: Thank you for sharing your comments with potential visitors. You are absolutely correct; we are located in the historic Fashion District at the south end of Times Square. Just a few short blocks from the center of Times Square and the Theater District! I'm sorry that you experienced an issue with the Internet connection. We have had issues...

I travel frequently for work and am impressed with many of the upgrades the Residence Inn's have made including this location. I was in the city with 3 friends and it was a deal to have a queen suite with the pull out bed. Many hotels will charge you for 2 beds in the room but if you do it...

Dear stillwigirl: Thank you for sharing your positive experience at my hotel. I'm so glad you and your friends were comfortable getting ready for a night on the town! I understand your concern with the parking fees and do recommend taking the ferry next time you visit us. As you're aware, parking can be pricey in Manhattan, especially near Times...

Dear Karen G: Thank you very much for reviewing my hotel for potential guests. I'm so glad that the size of your room and the kitchen amenities met your needs. I must admit that I was a bit nervous staying at the Residence Inn however I was very happily surprised. The rooms were large for NYC, clean and well appointed with a small kitchen area. The location is fantastic and the rates were extremely reasonable. I didn't go to the breakfast buffet, but it was a nice touch. I will...

I have often stayed at several marriotts in NYC over the past few years. This hotel is much quieter than the Marquis, less chaos. It is conveniently located to everything, incl the subways. The breakfast buffet is a full buffet, super value. I am travelling with my family again in April and chose this hotel specifically for the breakfast and...

I frequent this hotel but usually take public transit and do not bring a car. The only parking available is valet which is $55 (typical for NYC), but if you have an SUV as I do its a whopping $66 dollars. While I can somewhat understand the high cost, the valet service is slow, 30 minutes to retrieve a car,...

Dear Joe B: Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your past stay at my hotel with TripAdvisor users. Unfortunately, the garage that we valet park with is not our own. It is a local garage that we are in contract with; therefore we have no control over pricing. While the cost may seem higher; it is an extremely safe...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
