We have stayed at more than 20 hotels in NYC, but this is my favorite for the money. We took our 4 kids with us and booked 2 rooms next to each other (they didn't have adjoining rooms). They rooms are a good size by New York standards and the free, hot breakfast was great. Location is convenient to all...

I took my wife and three youngest children to the city for the first time. Somehow, after speaking with a customer service representative about the hotel and city I found that upon arrival I was upgraded to a Times Square View room. This was an awesome treat. The room was very spacious and clean. I never met one employee that...

Super Clean, decent security, close to action, friendly staff. Was there for St.Patricks Day weekend, hotel was at maximum capacity and other than elevators were too slow; overall it was excellent, the rooms were good size as well and very clean. I plan on going back here on future overnights.

Dear DanburyFoodie: Thank you for sharing your review of my hotel with TripAdvisor. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us over such a busy weekend. The first St. Patrick’s Day in years that actually fell on a weekend obviously brought many more people to the city than usual. The New York City Half Marathon was the same...

This was our second stay at the Residence Inn Times Square and again our stay was perfect! This hotel is in a great central location - walking distance to Times Square and the theater district as well as right near a metro stop. We saw four shows and the only one we didn't walk to was at the Lincoln Center....

Wi-fi signal barely existent on 29th floor, at least inside my room; there is no room service; cigarette smell coming from the a/c vent, even though it's a (supposedly) smoking free hotel. That being said, location is great, rooms are big and really clean, front desk very helpful.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
