Brooklyn, New York

My husband and I have "staycationed" at The High Line Hotel twice for birthday celebrations (we live in Brooklyn) and love staying at this one-of-a-kind hotel in the city. The rooms are beautiful with antique (or at least antique-style), eclectic but classy furniture. They're also decked out with wonderful CO Bigelow products in the bathroom, location-relevant books, and a great...

I only stayed for 1 night!! It was a lovely stay and everything was clean and neat. The reception was really good and efficient!! The location is also really great!! I stayed in a standard room and was sufficient for 1 person, could get a tiny bit small if you are more than 1 person. I would just want to...

Thank you for your comments. I apologize for the room for being too warm and the lack of communication from our staff. We have thermostats that regulate our temperature and different fan speeds to boost warmth and cooling. We hope to have you back very soon.

Tiny lobby full of guests with dogs, people studying and on their computers, and a flow between the shared coffee shop/bar. Former seminar offers tiny but well outfitted rooms. You can invision the former students hunched over their desk, being warmed by the fireplace (now not functional) while reading by the light flowing in from the big windows. Water pressure...

My sister and I stayed here for a fun NYC overnight. The hotel is in a great Chelsea neighborhood, very close to the High Line, Chelsea Market, tons of shops and eateries. It is a remodeled historic building, with high ceilings, tiled bathrooms, thick walls, and high, large windows. There is a lovely front patio and cozy indoor seating area...

What an amazing suite it was! It was the EXACT room I had admired while studying up on this outstanding hotel--The pink leather club chair was so inviting, and before leaving this morning, I tried my hand at the lovely antique embosser... The coffee bar/ très unique lobby was special and delicious! From the moment we arrived, to checkout, the...

Hotel is lovely, a hidden gem. Great location to High Line, New Whitney Art Museum, Chelsea Market. Great restaurants within walking distance. A nice safe area to explore on foot. Staff were lovely, remembered my name. Intelligentsia Coffee bar had great pastry and excellent coffee. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to purchase whole bean coffee to go....

Huge rooms, fabulous location, charming lobby and bar, super fluffy beds. It was like I was transported to a quaint European hotel. Just a few blocks from the famous Chelsea Market and steps away from the highline. Fabulous!

Wonderful old building with a ton of charm. Service was good and rooms comfortable and quiet. We stayed in a huge wonderful room which served us well for the five nights we spent there. If you love dogs, they're all over the place. We found ourselves tripping and dodging them every time we entered or exited. Steps away is the...

Had an hour to kill Sunday before brunch and stumbled into this charming hotel. The coffee war was amazing - very intimate setting, staff could not have been nicer. The hot chocolate came in a huge mug, and a deep, rich dark chocolate flavor. They even made a foam tulip for me that lasted till the last drop. A great...

This hotel is in a great location, near the highline, Chelsea, Greenwich, West Village. Easy to walk many places, and they have great bikes for use also. We took advantage of Equinox, their health club, which was easy and very convenient. Although we found the room to be small, it was very well insulated, no noise, and it had everything...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
