Hotel: I don't have one bad thing to say about this hotel. We arrived in New York and stayed for 4 days. We checked into our hotel and it was quick and painless compare to other places. Upon arrival the staff gave my girls free cupcakes which was a nice treat for them as they waited for me to check...

Arrived late due to plane problems coming across the country. Got to the lobby around 11:30 to extremely loud thumping Latin music. Not inherently objectionable, but when I asked for a room in the higher floors (I think there were 22), I got the 2nd floor - right above the bar where Salsa Night was in full swing. Told when...

We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again, but the drawback was that one evening we came back to the hotel to find a loud and raucous party spilling over from the bar into the lobby, something we had never experienced at a hotel. And the pounding music from that same bar one afternoon prevented me from conducting a...

The bed was comfy. Amenities were as noted on the website. However, some problems with the front desk staff: The receptionist told us the bar closed at 10:30 - which we thought strange for Manhattan. We stayed midtown for our after theatre libations, but found the bar in full swing on our return at 11:30. So much so, that the...

Stayed at this hotel for four nights on a business trip, and found it convenient to subway for both uptown and downtown. Easy to snag a taxi from there, also. Lots of grocery stores in the neighborhood meant that it was easy to grab snacks and breakfast to eat in my room. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but...

My 5 day stay was good once I managed my expectations. I had booked a deluxe king room and was expecting a room with a view and a little more "deluxe" in the room. After requesting a highfloor in my reservation i was advised i was going to be put on the 2nd floor but got it changed to a...

perfectly located in chelsea - easy to reach the best spots in manhattan - meat packing district, soho, village, also great for jogging along the hudson river park. the bar and the restaurant in the hotel is not so awesome, though...but who cares if NY offers so many excellent places, right?! ;)

Do not stay here if you are looking for a good night’s sleep, a spacious room with modern fittings or a location that’s pleasant and not scary after dark. My wife and I booked for four nights but stayed only one. Maybe had we stayed for the four nights we would have grown accustomed to the never ending rattle from...

we were doing the QM2 from NYC so added a few nights in the city before, like most of us found the cost of NYC hotels fairly eye watering but via OTEL.COM this was reasonable. West 25th St was a good mid location for us, Chelsea itself was a great area, the hotel was clean, (this was during the famous...

This little hotel is our FANTASTIC find and truly a GEM! I find some reviews here which are truly whiners and bickerers and not genuine experiences. We spent a week from 2-9 July celebrating our anniversary and birthdays. Always made us feel welcome! Just wanted to let you know we're hoping to stay again in the future and we highly...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
