Almost 11 years ago i stumbled across this place. Me and my friend were students we had little money so at $15 a night (this was 11 years ago mind) this place was ideal. Rooms were small, with only communal toilets and showers, rooms were not exactly private and sound certainly traveled but i tell you what, we had the...

I stayed in this hotel few year ago as I wanted something private yet cheap. It was like walking closet with bed and bit of room between bed and wall. Walls were thin so you could hear everything from other rooms. Nice area of NYC though.

I stayed in this historic building 5 or 6 years ago, and of course had a room the size of a walk-in closet, with a bed and three hooks on the wall to hang my clothes. Heck, what more do I need? Some idiotic "mini-bar"? For the price back then- ~$29 / night, it was fine. After all, I'm not...

First i visited here February 2013. I remember having a single room. I remember thinking this may be what closet living is like. To be fair i didn't hang out in the hostel so i had no qualms about the room size or cleanliness. I loved the location and thays why i picked it. This was the second hostel i...

For a city like NYC, this place is considered fine. Its cheap hostel and located near city center. There are lot of food trucks and cheap food around the hostel also. This place is perfect for backpacker but not recommended for family holiday.

I stayed here when I was 22 years old. I was a single guy, adventurous and broke. That is exactly the type of person the Bowery White House is for. $35 a night for a place to sleep in Manhattan! This is unheard of. And there is a reason for that. You don't get a "room", you get a communal...

This is the worst hostel I've ever seen. Bedbugs everywhere. This place should be illegal. Don't stay there. Would rather sleep on the street than go to this disgusting place!!!! I stayed for one night but didn't sleep at all. U could hear everything and the "rooms" were really small. The worst!!!!

Pictures are telling everything... Disgusting and dirty place with unpleasant staff. And I am still wondering how it can be called "Hotel"!!!!!!!!!! The worst accommodation experience ever. It´s simple: Don´t go there!

So, positives! Interesting area, close walk to china town and attaboy (excellent cocktail bar), close to public transport. I was coming into this accommodation after staying in hostels, so the private rooms/stalls were an improvement on shared rooms. But if you're going there expecting a hotel room, you're going to be disappointed. The thing that stands out about my trip...
