We were in town to see Dear Evan Hansen and stayed at the Shocard for a night. Such a lovely little spot. The room was clean and modern and cozy and we loved it. Checking in and out was simple and quick. This is a simple, easy, affordable stay without a lot of complications and annoyances of bigger hotels. Definitely...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Shocard at Times Square over the Thanksgiving holiday to see Times Square and the Broadway show "The Great Comet." A friend who had done just that recommended this place to us, boasting "you gotta see it, it's small, but big. You can really tell how new it is and how much thought...

In penthouse on Times Square. Right in the belly of the beast. As a relocated new yorker this is the perfect spot. Can't speak about other rooms but this one 701 you could ride a bike on the terrace. First impression.... I think it's gonna be a good time. Going to see Dear Evan Hansen tomorrow.

Recently stayed here with my partner across Thanksgiving from the 22nd-25th November. We were checked in on Tuesday evening by receptionist who wasn't rude but wasn't full of warm welcomes either, which wouldn't have gone a miss after a long haul flight and a long taxi ride. I suppose that is neither here nor there. It is a boutique hotel,...

Located across the street from the 42ond times square subway entrance makes it a great and very convenient location. Easy access for travel all across the city. Great and very friendly staff. Rooms are small (its a statement not a complaint) but who sleeps while on vacation in NYC. I would return again to this hotel. Gleason tavern located in...

Okay so my stay wasn't perfect but all the kinks got worked out, or they were very minor. Lets start with the bad things: - I was given a room with a great view overlooking 41st street. The problem was that the Aladdin billboard across the street was SO BRIGHT that I could not sleep. The staff (shout out to...

Stayed 4 nights over Thanksgiving. Great location, staff and cleanliness. The hotel opened Spring 2016 (was formerly a hostel so halls are narrow and there is a bit of noise from people walking above, but didn't really bother us), so everything is new. The room was small but not tiny and very well appointed, and the staff gave great service....

If you are looking for an amazingly located, funky New York hotel this is your spot. Be aware the rooms are small and we had a view of a brick wall, but the location and knowledgeable staff more than make up for it. The hotel is new and the black and white themed rooms are impeccably clean. Times Square subway...

Well located, really expensive if you take into account facilities and services. The room not only was low to average, but it had a "vintage" air conditioner device which never stopped its terrible noise, which war really difficult to bear. They offered a coffee maker in the room with only one bag of cofee and only one of tea, and...

My husband and I recently spent our first Anniversary in NYC. I found the Hotel Shocard on Hotels.com. I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The location could not be beat! Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
