I brought a group of family and friends to NY for our Central Park wedding and it was perfect. (We booked 7 rooms).
My fiancé and I actually live in NYC but we stayed there too for the wedding.
Everyone was thrilled. Staff was friendly, they accommodated early check in which was SOOO wonderful.
Hotel rooms may seem a little small but they are absolutely the norm for Midtown Manhattan and importantly have coffee, microwave, and FRIDGE (not normal for a hotel at this price point in the area).
Proximity to park, trains, and time square all perfectly manageable.
Would recommend this spot to anyone traveling through in the future.

We love to see it! Thank you for this fantastic review of the hotel and all it has to offer. We consider ourselves to be incredibly lucky with where our property is located. We are in the middle of everything, without the noise or hassle that comes with being in the middle of everything. We are also super proud of the team we have been able to cultivate. They are so wonderful, and they provide such a home away from home for our guests. We hope to be able to welcome you back with us soon, as the holidays are quickly approaching and nowhere is as magical as New York during the new year! We thank you for taking the time to share such a fantastic stay with us. We hope to see you soon.

This hotel is so cute and classy. Very clean and modern. You cannot beat the prices! Right in the city with an amazing view just a couple of blocks from the subway station and Times Square. I will definitely come here my next NY trip. Also, the most important thing, they watched and secured out luggaged BEFORE and AFTER check in/out , so we could enjoy sight seeing without carrying our suitcases around town. They tagged and kept our bags safe when we got there at 9AM and check in was at 4PM. That for me, is a big thing. Thank you for doing this. Even the morning we checked out, they kept our bags safe the whole day because our flight wasn’t till 9PM after we checked out in the AM, they watched our bags, went back to the hotel to pick up our stuff around 6PM and then left. It is amazing they have this kind of service before and after you stay at the hotel.

The location: Amazingly, it's only 2 blocks away from Times Square & is so close to so many eateries/restaurants. You won't ever go hungry by staying in this location because there's even a restaurant as a next door neighbor!

The staff: With their limited staff, they make it work for you as best as they can. The quality of their service makes up for the quantity in my opinion, especially during this pandemic.

Amenities: The rooms are gorgeous & well decorated. If you ever need anything, like any standard hotel, the front desk staff is just one call away. The beds were so comfortable, there is AC in every room, the TV's were of great quality. Tons of closet space as well while you travel!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks with my students that took over 5 floors & the staff was so accommodating that I wouldn't mind coming back here again since my experience was so positive.

We are a family of four adults from Australia who came to New York for the new year. I booked Cambria Hotel Times Square a long time becore our stay and did get a good rate. Location wise it's pretty good, only a few blocks from time square. While our hotel wasn't blocked off for new year, what we didn't realise is that we went over one side of NY in the afternoon this meant that I had to walk all the way up to Central park, in the rain just to cross over and then walk back down to our hotel. The hotel did not mention this for us.

Check in at our hotel wasn't great. It's a very very small lobby with just one or two people on. We arrived at lunch and had to wait till 4pm to get a room. This was OK. We were asked to take our luggage downstairs to a room where a staff member was and she took our bags, gave us tags and assured us our bags would be safe. The room had probably 100 bags in it. That afternoon when we came back to check in, the very rude girl who was quite unwelcoming just said go down and wait downstairs and I'll send someone to unlock the room. We waited quite a while with another family. On going upstairs again some time later she hadn't even called anyone. When someone did come it was a cleaner who opened the room and then left, no checking tags or anything we could have gone through or taken anything. Our bags were ok but I wasn't impressed about the security.

The room itself is small as I guess most in NY are. The beds are OK, we did all sleep however compared to all the hotels we've stayed in, these were just OK. The room was clean enough, the bathroom has mould all over the grout though, albeit a fairly newly renovated room. Quite noisey in that you can hear everyone else on the floor coming and going and lots of pipe noises at night time. But no road noise even on NY eve.

But overall the biggest disappointment was the staff. The most unfriendly crew. Did not matter when you walked in through reception which would have you say 3 meters from the staff. Never ever did they smile, welcome you or even acknowledge you, to me this is not OK. Even if there was none at all around. Just not interested.

We had a very important medical package sent from Australia to the hotel and I emailed them and told them this and to hold it for us. From the day we checked in, I asked every day and everyday was sent a message saying no. On our final day I went down and said this is very very important to us.......after an initial we don't have it, the girl looked and found it in a log and it had been there for the last 10 days!!! No impressed.

Overall would we stay again? If there was a cracking deal and you wanted that location I would still probably stay. But for us I would try somewhere elsewhere.

We arrived, the weekend before Valentine's day. Although understandably most of restaurants along the street were closed due to the weekend and the pandemic . We were happy to with Mcdonalds. My wife had business so both my daughter and I were along for the ride. Although overnight we were able to make use of the parking garage next door that if validated bu the front desk will reduce overnight parking rate. The room amenities were nice, the microwave, safe and fridge were well hidden (see pictures) and the bathroom was very very spacious for a shower. My daughter and I love the rainfall shower head. We will come back here again as the price is reasonable vs other brand name hotels. A nice brief getaway.

The location is just about perfect! You can walk to many sights with every kind of restaurant or bar within a short walk as well. Yes, the rooms are on the small side...it's NYC! They are well appointed and very adequate.

I'm a diamond member and have stayed at over 100 hilton locations around the world. Both the front desk staff and cleaning staff at this location are among the best I have encountered. Larissa, I believe she is the asst manager, stands out. Hilton should make her a corporate trainer. Not joking.

Reasons this is not a 5-star review. Breakfast...when you stay at most HGI's it is included when you are gold or diamond level for you and a guest. Not as this hotel. Instead they offer you a $10 coupon good at the restaurant located in their lobby. Well, each breakfast is $29 so the $10 coupon makes zero sense when breakfast is free at other locations. WiFi...on the 18th floor at least it is worthless.

Good evening, jpmaydak. You are too kind! We thank you so very much for your lovely review of our hotel and of our team. Larissa is wonderful and I know she will be so happy to hear she was able to play such a role in your stay. We totally understand your sentiments about breakfast. Hilton has updated their benefit package for their Honors members throughout the pandemic. Your food and beverage credit is now expanded to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks as opposed to just the cost of breakfast. We understand that $20 a day can feel a little limiting. We are happy to report, however, that we will be updating our breakfast options for your return and would love to be able to welcome you back to enjoy. We hope to see you soon and thank you, again for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review!

This is a MUST stay hotel!I will be staying here everytime I go to NYC after this stay. Our reservation started off with difficulty due to Choice website but after emailing this location and explained the situation the General Manager immediately reached out to me. He and his staff exceeded expectations. The room was incredible, clean, staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the Italian Restaurant and staff. This location was within a few blocks of Radio City to see Rockettes, walk to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. Just the perfect distance and perfect hotel. I recommend staying here. Really a high end hotel at a great price. Thank you to GM Nick and his staff for a very memorable stay

Great location, comfortable beds, soft linens, clean rooms, but the greatest asset at this hotel is their front desk service. Specifically Zay, who had to work, Christmas Eve, which was the day that we arrived. And also worked Christmas day. All of the front end staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. They answered questions about things we were looking for in the neighborhood, they made recommendations for dining specific to our questions And the overall ease at which they interacted with the guests was fantastic!! at no point was there ever a major backlog at the front desk whether it was people checking in and waiting for rooms, or checking out. It always felt very well-managed as we came in and out of the hotel over the three nights of our stay. If I can make one recommendation, it might be that the cleaning staff keep their voices down in the hallways while they are talking with each other. We woke up two mornings very early due to them speaking very loudly to each other in conversations that were lengthy. At one point I actually got up and opened the door because I thought they were standing in front of my room specifically. Our third morning, we had hung the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the doorhandle, and the cleaning staff still knocked on our door several times. When I opened the door and pointed to the sign, she apologized. That being said, our rooms were very clean and we still tipped the staff to show our appreciation. The rooms were very spacious, especially for New York City standards, equipped with a microwave, fridge, iron, blow dryer, and Safe. There wasn’t much of a view from the 10th floor, but that didn’t bother us at all as the view we had reflected the New York City vibe anyways. You can’t beat the location on 46th - wedged between Broadway and Fifth Avenue makes you very close to everything. I would stay at this hotel again. Note: Celebrity restaurant, belonging to Chazz Palminteri is located in the lobby of the hotel. However, we already had reservations for all of our dinners so we were not able to try it. It is open and welcoming for drinks only as well.

Thanks for the great service Zay - you’re great at your job and very pleasant to interact with!

This is a rather small boutique hotel of the Hilton Garden Inn series, situated right in Little Brazil, on 46th Street between 5th and 6th. You can find luxurious hotels near this hotel especially on the upper street number than this, but compared to them, it is very reasonably priced. I had the impression that Hilton hotels have better heating systems when I stayed here and as expected, the a/c worked so well, like I was sweating in my T shirt. It was a/c so it dried up the air in the small room, but still it was good to have because when I was there, a snow storm was hitting almost the entire North East coast.
The property has a laundry which guests can use during the business hour. The room is uniquely designed and made convenient for the travelors in any needs.

The location is convenient, yet out of the bustle and noise of Times Square. Our timing, though, wasn't great, given that the elevator and rooms were undergoing renovations while we were there, and wait times for the small elevators sometimes exceeded 15 minutes. We were lucky to be on the 5th floor, since using the stairs was a lot faster than waiting for the elevator. I met people who walked down from the 21st floor after waiting over 15 minutes to get downstairs for breakfast.
There are only a few rooms per floor, and we asked for a room away from the elevator since those tend to be noisy. So we thought it was great when they moved us to the furthest room from the elevator, until we went to bed and were stunned by some weird, very loud noise that sounded like an elevator was mating with thunder. This went on until 2 or 3 in the morning our first night, but not the subsequent nights. We never figured out what it was.
As a Diamond member, I was offered a $10/person discount on breakfast. It wasn't worth it. The breakfast at the Palmentieri restaurant on the property was buffet style, with cold, overcooked scrambled eggs and fritatta, nasty flavored potatoes, fruit "salad", and juice. For this, they charge $25/person, making this inedible breakfast $40 with tip for tea that was served without the lemon we asked for repeatedly.
That being said, the beds were very comfortable, the room was big by Times Square standards, and very clean. The staff at the front desk is great, as were all the people working on the elevator, the maids, etc. I'm pretty sure when all the renovations are finished, this would be a more pleasant stay. Just don't waste time and money on the breakfast buffet, when there are several very nice food trucks and coffee shops within a block or two.

Good evening, Marisa13! Thank you for choosing the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square North for your stay in New York City. As a Diamond member, you are truly the backbone of the Hilton brand. We sincerely appreciate your business, but most of all, your loyalty. We apologize for the disruption of our elevators throughout your stay. They were undergoing routine maintenance and are safe for use upon your return. We are happy to report that our breakfast options are changing quite a bit and we will be expanding our offerings to all of our members in the near future. Your reviews are paramount in our success, as they allow us to expand on all of the things we do right, and all improve upon some of the things we may fall short on. Please reach out to the hotel so we may look into your booking. We would be happy to add 10,000 Honors points to your Honors account for you to use at your discretion. Thank you, again. We look forward to hosting you back with us soon.
