The Hudson is a great place to stay for a long weekend when visiting NYC. It is on the upper west side of the park. It has a great atmosphere, the staff are vibrant and energetic. It's a 'cool' and 'alternative' type hotel. Lots of young families and fashion types. On my last trip we stayed in their penthouse, it...

A superb location almost on Columbus Circle and Central Park, this hotel impressed me when I first entered: a wonderful 'natural light' lobby (foyer) with greenery and a great chandelier. That's unfortunately where it ends... A long wait at check-in AND check-out with no care or interest from the front desk staff. I understand they are busy, but one person...

I stayed at the Hudson for more than a week as I was on a business trip to the Big Apple. It is supposed to be a hip place but all I recognized was that it seemed pretty worn. Maybe it was not the perfect choice for a business trip as it seems more like a hotel for youngsters who...

Estonishing hotel! Outside, nothing special, just a small entrance with two big escalatos, once you are in the lounge, wouaaaaahhhh!, you will be surprised! Modern, a little bit crazy with a very friendly and efficient staff. The bar is extravagant, and you will find a lot of art and nice furniture. You will like, for sure. The room was small...

I got a room at the Hudson from Bidding on Priceline and was able to get it for half the price. The hotel was clean and had a very cool atmosphere. I was going to NYC for the first time and was just looking for a place that was clean, decently priced and had a nice bed and I got...

Standard room very small, many have double beds. No room for bags unless you travel very light. Have to sit sideways on toilet as knees will hit wall, but then again your knees will be within shower cubicle when sitting sideways. Not a good idea if someone else is having a shower. However, you can upgrade to a larger room...

Nice roomy bar, good atmosphere but prices are too high and the music was too hip hop for my liking. Would be a good place to have a party and maybe come again and try out the restaurant as the overall scene is really cool.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
