The hotel is located very conveniently for any business east of Park in midtown, with easy access to the subway. The bed is superb, one of the best I've ever slept in, and the room is spacious and comfortable. Beware of the heater though, it is somewhat noisy and one degree change in temperature will result in the room turning... More

Hadn't been to NYC in many years, and it's the first time I had stayed in a hotel in the city. Generally a nice boutique hotel. We were there for business, but stayed an extra couple of days. Good location; very helpful staff, quiet, comfortable room with a little galley kitchen. Really liked the linens, bed & pillows. I contacted... More

Good and well appointed room, great bed, competitively priced and very nice staff. Very quiet considering the pace of life in NY. Location near grand central station with plenty of eating/drinking places close by.

Excellent location. Both convenient to landmarks as well as local restaurants and amenities. The room was nice, comfortable and overall fresh decor and feel, particularly given the old building. The internet worked well in our room. The staff was very helpful and tried to make you welcome. Little things like having the Sunday NYT free to guests makes a difference.... More

The hotel made us most welcome, and as promised the room and bathroom were wheelchair accessible. Room service outrageously expensive (it comes from the restaurant below i think - who really wants to pay $18 for some eggs?) but I guess that is NY. Very quiet considering the location. We have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, one block away, a... More

The Benjamin is a good value, although not cheap, centrally located hotel in New York. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
