This hotel was nice, not my favorite Kimpton, the rooms were really kind of dark and "windowless", and the staff, however very nice, didn't seem to know a lot a out the area we were in...they were all from "New Jersey". Seems like in NYC, hotel staff would know better where to direct you.

First of all the staff makes you feel very welcome which is a change from other properties I've stayed at in Times Square. Onsite restaurant is pricey but well worth it. I loved the quality of the bath products and the shower was divine. Only think I didn't like was the too fluffy pillows.

First of all: this is not a bad hotel. However, it's not as good looking as the pictures might suggest. Reception is rather small and dark. Receptionists claim to be your assistant, concierge and everything, but that's rather a statement than an executable claim. Elevators show clear signs of old age. Rooms are spacious, clean and well-equipped, but very, very...

Affordable and convenient. Room was decent with a nice view. Friendly staff. It's just a nice small boutique hotel. The robes need replacing. Kitschy but uncomfortable and unappealing. Don't understand the Happy Hour each day...the lobby is very small and to have people standing around while doormen are Moving carts, and people are trying to check in and out. Very...

This was a nice, chic, small-mid-sized hotel in a perfect location between Rockefeller Plaza and Times Square. Comparable in price and room size to nearby larger chain hotels, but with a little more charm. Easy walk (within 1-3 blocks) to each of these landmark areas. Rockefeller offers the iconic outdoor ice-skating rink, Radio City Hall, Lego Store, and more. Nearby:...

Anyone who stays in Manhattan hotels frequently knows that reasonably priced (for Manhattan) rooms tend to be small, service can be uneven, views - not so much. The Kimpton Muse was a very pleasant surprise. Our room was generous, bathroom well appointed, staff very pleasant. No view but can't have everything. And the location was great - so close to...

The Muse will now be "Our New York hotel"! Location is perfect, close to Time Square and Rockefeller Center. Room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. Wouldn't change a thing. We will be back again and again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here at the Muse during New Years.. We stayed on the 5th floor I believe. We were welcomed with smiles from the staff. Every time we left and came back we were greeted. I enjoyed the happy hour everyday. Nothing like a complimentary glass of wine after a long day out in...

From the moment we arrived in front of the Kimpton Muse the experience seemed too good to be true. But it wasn't. From the moment we arrived to the moment we drove away this hotel was perfect in every way. We arrived on a Saturday morning during a snowstorm that took NYC a bit by surprise. Before we got into...

Booked here because it was a Kimpton property. If you are headed to the theatre, the location can't be beat. Aside from that, nothing to recommend. After we booked, we opted for the email invite to take advantage of the upgrade option for additional $. We would advise against it. The upgraded room, called a suite, was basically a railroad...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
