We visited New York together with my husband at the very beginning of January. Stayed in this hotel in Suite room. Very positivite impression of the room: spacious, clean, perfect view at the Rockefeller Center. Huge bathroom with live flowers, shower AND a bath. Location is very convenient - major tourist destination, nightlife and shopping streets are walking distance. Breakfast...

A real gem of a hotel, stayed there twice in a week as we got a special deal - stay for 3 nights and pay for 2. Arrived early but they were happy to store our bags for us while we went out to explore. Only problem was they had not noted the extra bed we requested but provided an...

We stayed at the Sofitel New York for 7 nights at the end of June. We had two rooms, which interconnected by means of a short corridor with it's own external door. The rooms were large enough for us and were well equipped with large flat screen TVs, a Bose radio with a line input for an MP3 player and...

Excellent stay at this hotel. It was quiet, off the beaten path, which I loved also. Room was perfect, bed was great to sleep in, loved the bathroom! Great location to everything...within walking distance to shopping, dining, etc.. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and would reccomend it to all. I booked our flight and hotel though Travelocity and wasn't sure if we would just get average service because of that. I confirmed by email our reservations and mentioned that we would be celebrating my girlfriends 30th b-day. When we arrived around 1pm Sunday afternoon...

Stayed for 8 nights in May 2010. Arrived late (after 10 pm), and the desk clerk apologized that they were rather full, so they had to put me on a low floor (4th). This was within my reservation, which said floors 3-14, so I had not even raised the issue, but they still promised to move me up the following...

At Sofitel for two nights last weekend. This was a mom and daughter(adult) get away. The room was large for NYC, the beds were super comfy and the bathroom nice, clean with all the amenities. They also still have nightly turndowns. All the staff from desk, to doormen, to consierge, hostesses, etc were quite friendly and helpful. We ate an...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
