Good location, close to Penn Station (we walked down to catch the train to DC with all our luggage with no hassle), and breakfast included. The room was what we were expecting size wise. Big enough for two people but not a large suite. The bathroom was quite small and lacked bench space to put anything. The water from the...

We wanted to stay somewhere nice near Penn Station. We found the place. Just about a 10 min walk from the trian station and not too far from anywhere. Room was of course the usual NYC size, but we did score an ADA bathroom so we had plenty of room. Very clean and staff were so nice. Breakfast was the...

This is a late review for a stay in May visiting NYU with my son. I stay at Marriott hotels and this has been the best by far. It is located in a charming street lined with floral and ramen shops. This Fairfield Inn on 28th St. in Chelsea/Manhattan was an "interesting" stay. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. The street is also interesting in that apparently this very block of Manhattan is some kind of "floral district" so regardless of the warm weather "aroma" NYC tends to give you this time of year... each early morning, the vendors...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
