Stayed June/July 2014, had two rooms between the family. Jewelry and clothing went missing from both rooms, staff kept saying they would do something about it but hopeless. Eventually escalated to "Larry", supposed head of security, who said he would take care of an insurance claim, but despite emails and phone calls we've heard zip from anyone. Best advice is...

Stayed here on a weekend trip to NYC. Great, safe location. Room was spacious (for NYC) and we had a view of the Empire State Building. Bar was open at strange hours. Rooms were clean, and staff was pleasant. They held our luggage for the day after checking out so we could explore the city prior to heading to LGA....

I do not even know where to begin in describing how worn, outdated and poorly serviced this hotel. Hopefully the pictures I've uploaded can give you a glimpse into how bad this hotel. The only way I can understand how this is a 4 star is by assuming that this place was nice at one point. Our horrible experience began...

Wow! My wife and I had the good fortune to stay at The Court in NYC last month- it was wonderful! The excellent staff upgraded us to a suite, (this has never happened to us in all of our travels), and we were amazed with our room! We stayed on the 15th floor in a suite that had a large...

Good location and friendly staff. Furniture is outdated, poor lighting and no coffee pot. Ten minute walk to the Metro at Grand Central Station. Several local restaurants, nearby. Good price for the location.

My spouse, a close friend and I stayed at this hotel for seven nights in mid August this year. We asked our friend who was in New York before us to pay a visit to the hotel beforehand to look at the facility. We gave her an idea of what to look for. Based on her feedback we booked the...

Priceline was running high in NYC on the dates I needed. Had to drop close to $400 after taxes & fees for this, one of many barely passable NYC "boutiques" masquerading as first-class. Lumpy bed, too-short shower curtain caused bathroom to flood, sink handle broke off, no laundry bag, no coffee maker, a chaise which could be characterized as "used"...

We were in the city for a quick overnight with sightseeing. This hotel is in a great location within walking distance of Grand Central Station and several subway stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Paul, who handled our luggage was very friendly and efficient.

The best thing about this hotel for me was the location. A short walk away from Grand Central meant everywhere was very easy to get to. Times Square, ESB etc. were also a short distance. The room was clean and large but as others have said the bathroom is rather small. A few months before we were due to travel...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
