I stayed at this property in June 2014 with two friends. Our room was decent sized, especially by New York standards - small though for most U.S. cities. We however were quite happy with it. There was a double bed and a twin foldout chair. The room was narrow enough that walking between the beds and the tv on the...

Great hotel. Clean room and friendly staff! In town for St. Patrick's Day. Right near cathedral! Very quiet as you are on a side street. Enough room for my husband and I--have stayed in many NYC hotels and was impressed at the size of the room, we were not tripping over each other or our bags! I'd stay here again!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids were in a two bed two bath suite with a kitchenette on the 6th floor! It was PERFECT! On every floor the jewel offered a chilled water station with bottles, on the 5th floor they had an ice machine and a washer dryer with individual detergent and dryer sheets! Beyond these comforts...

I booked 2 rooms at the Jewel for Saturday July 5. We were driving up from Miami Florida to celebrate our anniversary with friends. Unfortunately it was when hurricane Arthur was moving up the coast. I called the hotel on Thursday and asked if I could change due to the weather. They said they could not help me and that...

This place, while nicely located if you're going to tour midtown, is very small and very much a self-service kind of place. You're supposed to swipe yourself in to get a key (didn't work- had to do it manually with a staffer's help), To access your floor, you need to dip your keycard in a slot in the elevator (couldn't...

We wanted a hotel that wouldn't break our bank account, but was convenient to the Theater District, restaurants and was clean and comfortable. The Jewel at Rockefeller Center was all that and more. We spent four night there and would come back in a "New York minute".

I booked this hotel due to location, I had business in the Rockefeller center and the location was ideal, literally across the street. Shopping, restaurants, theatre all near by, can walk to most things. I realize rooms in NYC are small, but this room felt a bit "tired" to me. The towels were rough, some were frayed, there were 2...

This is one of the few hotels I've stayed at that I would recommend to others. The room was clean, the staff was so friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. Within walking distance of many attractions. The free bottled water was an excellent perk too!!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and let me say that the reviews on trip adviser are spot on. This might not be the top rated hotel in Manhattan but The Jewel is a very good choice, this hotel is basically walking distance from every important place in Manhattan. I stayed in a room on the 8th floor...

Don't stay here if you want a pool, a complimentary breatfast, or an opulent "status" lobby. DO stay here if you want a clean comfortable room steps from Radio City, with nice facilities for business travelers. Lots of well maintained self service amenities-- water bottle dispensers, cappuccino machine in the lounge, lots of device chargers. Owned by Club Quarters, of...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
