2nd time to this ideally situated hip and cool lifestyle hotel. It's a great and friendly experience and not at all your "average lobby and reception" experience. Very good size rooms and some with amazing views. You may need to ask for additional lighting as some rooms can be dark. All in all a great experience for business and pleasure.

I am really conflicted about this hotel. I love that the front desk staff are not behind a desk but are in front of the check in area. It makes it so much easier to approach the staff. I took full advantage of this. I asked about where to get bagels, Chinese, and Indian food. I had never taken the...

Dear JonO, Thank you for staying with us. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and it's great to hear that you felt well taken care of by our front of house team. Sorry you weren't impressed with the design of your loft room. I highly recommend exploring one of our suites next time. We have a variety of suite options with...

Andaz is redefining what it means to 'hotel' so to speak, if 'hotel' were a verb. We stayed here for one night on our Hyatt points, and considering what the room rate was, were happy we did. I think first impressions are everything, and the check-in process does not disappoint from surprises. No desk or formal check in, someone just...

I'm in NYC for business and there was a loud party in the room next to me at the Andaz on 5th. Guests next door were threatening, and the hotel manager had to come escalate after midnight. Seems they were told it's ok to have parties here. Would recommend to stay away if you're looking for a nice boutique hotel...

Dear Geisha2Go, Thank you for staying with us. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the noise disturbance caused late at night by the adjoining room. Don't be fooled by the unassuming entrance, my über driver drove right by it! The lobby is typical of Andaz lobbies and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in the "Splash Suite" which over looked the New York Public Library. Suite was more than spacious with a beautiful tub in its own light filled room, a foyer, a...

This was our first time at the Andaz, but we visit NYC frequently and have stayed at many hotels here. Overall, I was very impressed. The location is fantastic. Room and bathroom are huge by NYC standards. We were on the 9th floor on the library side, and it was one of the quietest rooms I have ever had in...

The Andaz continues to deliver as a chic luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Midtown - this was my third visit in 3 years, and I was sad to leave this morning. Check-in is efficient and friendly. Andaz is on the east side of Bryant Park and the library, on 5th Avenue. The hotel is sort-of hidden behind a restaurant, and the lobby is almost like an Apple Store... the hosts are there with you rather than behind a counter, checking you in on touch screens and lending a very personal touch. And that's just the start....

Spent 3 days with my teens here. Rooms are huge. Awesome bathrooms too. Can't beat the location. When I asked concierge where nearest pharmacy was, she asked what we needed and sent up a razor and shaving cream in 3minutes!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
