First off no way I'd class this a 5 star hotel, in many ways it's more like an apart hotel without the room facilities. Ok this hotel takes a different approach,no reception, instead s block of furniture an iPad and lots of untidy stationary, that doesn't work it needs a reception ! On arrival, no help at the door, struggling... More

Would never stay again! The bed was horrible and our shower never worked properly. the hotel staff seem liked they didn't want to be at work and when we arrived not a single staff member helped us with our five bags. I would not recommend this hotel.

I'm fortunate to be a Diamond Hyatt member and was upgraded to a breathtaking suite overlooking the NY Public Library on my recent one night stay. Loved the room. Had a wonderful business breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the morning.

When you have been to the Andaz Tokyo or the Park HYATT Shanghai, you can feel a family flavor the moment you arrive to this place. But of course everything is designed in a much less costly way. We had opted for the loft, a surprisingly large room with a large bathroom, a nice office space separated from the bedroom... More

For quality staff, service, atmosphere and a real feeling of NY, this hotel would be hard to beat. Close to the National Library and the markets behind. Great bar/ wine list/menus. Rooms are biggish, edgey and have a nice vibe. Downside.....the mini bar does not hold enough hydration or variety for even the most relaxed traveler. I have stayed at the Andaz... More

My wife and I stayed during Thanksgiving week in an Andaz Suite which is a very large and beautiful suite. Upon arrival we were offered a welcome beverage and our request for late check-out was already in the system. Awesome location and great value. Our new go to hotel for sure. Highly recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
