Chambers is a great hotel on 56th in Midtown. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are decent sized by NYC and the bathrooms are generally great. If you can get one of the rooms with the balcony, do it. Very cool. Don't forget to eat at David Chang's Ma Peche

Great boutique hotel- location excellent and room very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was good, though a glass of wine for $19 seemed a bit steep. The shower was fantastic.

Hello Lauren R, Many thanks for sharing impressions with TripAdvisor. We are very appreciative. Our apologies on the wine, it is protocol to let you know pricing before pouring and I will speak with our restaurant to ensure there are no future surprises. I have stayed in the Chambers for many years, and come back each time I visit NYC (which is a couple times per year). It hits on all the key points I look for in a hotel. Location is key as it sits between 5th & 6th Avenue on 56th Street, close to Central Park for a great morning walk,...

Dear Ms. Boren, Thank you for your visits, discerning eye and caring enough to let us know where you feel we may improve. Our Doorman are outstanding and as one's first contact with the hotel after traveling, they make quite an impression. Our Front Desk folks are equally fine, albeit a tad less vivacious, as they welcome guests into the...

Second time at the chambers was ok. The first time I had a corner room on the 12th floor and had minimal street noise but internet was only in the common areas. The 2nd time I was on the 3rd floor and had internet but I felt the street noise was more noticeable. The best part of the hotel is...

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with my mum in November 2014. It was our first trip to NYC and I used trip advisor to help me choose a hotel in NYC, so I am writing this review to share my experience. When I first booked the room, I was overcharged. After a very long email chain, and...

I've stayed at the Chambers Hotel twice now and recommended it to plenty of people when travelling to NYC. The location is superb just minutes walk from the park. The basic rooms are small but tell me of a hotel in NYC which doesn't have small rooms without having to pay an astronomical price but you get all you need...

This was the first trip for our young teenagers to NYC. The Chambers was the perfect choice. Can't beat the location and the staff is wonderful. The room was very clean; little chocolates, spring water and NYTimes paper delivered every day; the beds were very comfortable and we never heard the street at night even though we were street-side. Great hotel just off 5th Ave. The rooms we had were generous in size with quirky/cool decor. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant area really unusual as well. I recently stayed at Chambers for a long weekend. It's the perfect location for exploring New York, and dangerously close to Bloomingdales! The hotel doorman is fantastic. The recommendations he gave us were spot on... and giving out umbrellas was a nice touch.

Good afternoon Haley S. Cookies, indeed! And to get to Bloomingdale's one must pass Harry Winston, Tiffany, Channel, Hermes, Prada and JM Weston. To name a few. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
