This is a fine spot. Clean, friendly, comfy. The bedspread was a bit worn and the rooms are small but that was not a problem for us. We are used to tiny hotel rooms in Europe. One warning, if you are very large or obese you may not want a room with a private bath. In order toget to the...

A great experience. Hotel 31 is a short easy walk from Penn Station and a great location for lower manhattan sight seeing. We found it very clean and quiet - we had an inner room. Would stay there again.

We are a family of 4, with kids of 11and 13. We stayed a room with 2 double beds and a private bathroom. It was not a large room, bur not cramped either. All the varnished wood trims give the entire place a lot of charm. Location is great, close to everything; subway, grand central, empire state. Service is friendly...

I'd read in a couple of reviews prior to booking this hotel that staff are less 'interested' in the guests who stay here in comparison to other hotels in New York. This didn't bother me much, the hotel was incredibly well priced with an excellent location, and it was just somewhere to sleep and shower. In terms of the room...

The hotel is located in a very safe and clean neighborhood. Near the Empire State Building and close to a lot of the big attractions. The hotel is older but very, very clean. If you like older buildings, this is a must. The price was incredible. We had a double bed and shared a bathroom. The bathroom was extremely clean...

Old style hotel in excellent location, just a few blocks from Empire state building. The stuff is very nice and helpful, they help you with the luggage and give you all information you need about the city. You get a coupon for cheaper breakfast in the restaurant near by which is very good. You can storage your luggage for free...

If you are looking for a budget-friendly hotel close to Times Square and other NYC attractions then this is your place! Older but clean. Don't let the sharing of bathrooms scare you away. They are normally always available and are kept clean. Staying here will give you a comfy stay, but will allow you to save some money for shoes,...

Stayed here for one week between the 3rd and 10th of December. Wanted something cheap with a good location for sightseeing and this ticked all the boxes. Not the most modern of hotels but was clean and was somewhere to lay our heads which is all we were looking for really. Check in was quick and simple, the main receptionist...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
