It's hard not to like this place, with the vintage film posters covering all the walls, the friendly welcome from staff, and the convenient central location. The room at the back of the hotel was very quiet and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well. The selection for breakfast was pretty good. There is a subway stop two seconds...

We went back almost 7 years before our previous visit (my second review for Tripadvisor!) and I have to say that, even if it is still a great place, it has lost something from our previous staying. Rooms are still very small but we knew it and it was perfectly fine with it, maybe a little maintenance should be done,...

Great location, close to metro (1min walk),easy to reach J.F.Kennedy airport by metro & air train, many places in walking distance, clean, friendly staff, breakfast included. A bit overpriced, espresso had nothing to do with real italian espresso.

Loved the movie themed rooms. Staff was really friendly. We were upgraded to a suite the first night because our t.v. didn't work. Nice large bathroom. Day bed in the sitting area. The bed space was limited in the bedroom but wasn't a real problem. Very quiet room; white noise machines also provided. The breakfasts were fine to get a...

Chelsea Pines Inn is very conveniently located on 14th St close to the metro station on 8th Ave and a short stroll to Chelsea Market and Whithney Museum of American Art. The location is mostly quiet however rooms facing 14th street do get affected a bit by the traffic The B&B is located in an old building, however renovation is...

I really just heard about this place directly thru tripadvisor. At one time I think it was 1 overall for NYC, WOW! I do see how it is able to stand out. Just the decor and theme of this place is wacky and fun mixed with high quality product. You know the city is gonna be expensive, so might as...

Great staff, but the carpets and walls just seem dirty / dingy, and there was a giant cockroach by the breakfast buffet one day, heading for the food. To be fair, the staff threw everything away, but when I emailed saying they were probably coming from outside, with an Amazon link to some traps that might help, there wasn't even...

This is my 2nd visit here - basic but clean. Not for older people as there is no elevator. You should go somewhere else for breakfast. Maid service was excellent and very friendly. Tai the receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. Sean could be more customer friendly. Overall, very good value for money. I will be back.

I stayed there with my 7-year-old daughter for one night for work. The building must have been an apartment building as our room has something like an entrance to an apartment. Very interesting as if we were visiting a friend's home...Spacious and very clean. The shower is great and the bed is so comfortable. There is a mini fridge in...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
