Stayed here for 5 days over Christmas 2016 for my moms 50th birthday celebrations. This was our first trip to New York and this hotel was recommended to us by friends who had visited before. We were not disappointed with our stay. After arriving at...More
We stayed here on the 38th Floor in a suite which had a 6ft bed and a sofa bed in a living area. It was very comfortable. The room had a seating area with a tv, coffee maker, desk, fridge and sink. It also had...More
Of all of the hotels in NYC, I would stay somewhere else. The room we were in was very small. The ceiling in the hallway is maybe 7' tall, but seemed lower and, the hallway to our room was narrow with a lot of turns....More
4 of us had a double double room 2 weeks ago. I wasn't expecting the room to be spacious as it is NY after all but it was not as boxroom as I anticipated. To be honest, we didn't spend much time in the room...More
Impressive building with history that's a good base to explore from. A few annoying bits are the elevator system, particularly at check out with up to 20min waits to get down to the lobby and also the relatively high facilities charge. But otherwise a perfectly...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

We were charged about $32USD per room per night (after tax). We booked through the hotel website. I've seen some responses from the hotel that say the applicability of the extra charge depends on how one books. If the rooms were booked through a travel agent or something, the cost you've been quoted *might* include this. The uncertainty is just another reason why this "facilities fee" is so unfair and silly.
