So bright and new! One bedroom apartment with full kitchen and balcony! Lots of space, closets, pull out couch in living room. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly! Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, a few blocks from subway.

The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well serviced. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Just a few blocks walk from Central Park, and well-placed to explore the laid-back delights of the Upper East Side. We stayed on the 7th floor and weren't bothered at all by the building works nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and look...

This hotel is such an oasis! The rooms are spacious - bigger than my daughter's apartments and cleaner too, I might add. There are computers and printers in the lobby so that you can print out boarding passes. The hotel staff are very helpful. The location is a 3 minute walk from the subway on 96th and Lexington. Slightly further,...

“An Oasis in the midst of Manhattan”, wow.. that sounds like the title of a great book. We are so happy you were able to spend a chapter of your life enjoying the nearby Central Park, Museum Mile and the East River jogging path, just to mention a few close attractions. It’s is great your daughter is our neighbor, now...

Stayed here for 5 nights in May 2014. Wonderful location to stay and feel like a local. Close to the number 6 subway which goes all the way down to Brooklyn Bridge. Easy interchanges to other lines round the city. Staff were lovely and helpful but a special mention must got to Dennis Young. Never to busy to help with...

Dreams do come true, and we here at the Marmara Manhattan “wouldn’t dream of” you “staying anywhere else” either. We are grateful for your encouraging words, and can think of no better place to “fall in love with NYC”, than right here with us, at the Marmara. The Marmara Manhattan Management Team

There’s no place “like home”…. Thank you so much for your enduring loyalty, it means the world to us. This representative is enormously grateful the construction has reached a point where there is light at the end of that tunnel. Everyday draws us closer to our very own Subway entrance right here on our corner, and we rest assured you...

4 night stay first week of May. Our flight arrived late - we arrived at the hotel about 12:30 am. We booked a one bedroom and after reading reviews about street noise - at check in I requested a room on a high floor. To our surprise we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom, with a large living room, full...

We relish basking in your review, peppered with words like “delightful”, “astonishing” and “mind blowing”, it was a joy having you with us. We are grateful you “highly recommend” us and our proximity to beloved Central Park, whether bird watching or people watching the park is truly an oasis. 3 of us stayed here for a 4 night city break in May and it was very good. Situated in a residential neighbourhood, only steps away from Central Park with local diners nearby and the subway a few blocks away, this is a great option for a short stay break. Hooray for your approval of our “quieter area”, indeed a fantastic and many times a rare find in New York. The Upper East Side is truly, as you point out, a “great option”. Thank you for recommending us for groups as well as couples, our recommendation is for you to enjoy another “short break” with us here, sooner rather than...

We stayed here for 7 days in May 14. We have booked Superior 1 Bedroom Suite. Initially our trip started on sour note. We used GO! Airport Shuttle service to get from JFK to hotel. New York is absolutely made of small village neighborhoods, each with their own charm and flavor. We are particularly pleased you discovered our charm here on the Upper East Side, not to mention the sheer square footage we have to offer. “All in all” we want you to remember this “great place” and hurry back, we’ll be expecting to see...

My husband and i stayed at the Marmara Manhattan for two months (February and March, 2014) while we were having our Upper East Side apartment renovated. The tough thing about meeting great friends while they are encumbered with renovating is, contrary to popular belief, they actually do finish. Remember now that you are part of the family, at the least stop by on occasion to say hello. Actually, send all your friends and family, that will be even better yet, we will miss you. Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
