The room was comfortable and quiet. The view of Manhattan was extraordinary and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Each delicious breakfast was served quickly. We absolutely love The Standard.

I love the concept of the hotel. It match cool design with thriving F&B. Its easily one of the most fun filled hotel in NY. Go to the Boom Boom room at the top of the hotel. Great cocktail, cool vibe with fantastic view of Hudson. river and Manhattan.

This is a return visit for us and if you read my prior review you'd be surprised we returned. On this visit we upgraded our room and it made a huge difference. We got a corner room with full length windows on each exterior walls with wonderful views. We were over the high line so could also see folks strolling...

Hi Byron Thank you for giving us another chance over here at The Standard, High Line! I am glad to hear you had a better stay this time than last. The corner rooms are truly spectacular and the rain fall showers are luxurious. The Top of The Standard takes reservations for Sunset Service each night which is from 4pm -...

This hotel is extremely entertaining with its unique collection of bars and gorgeous restaurants, plus it's in a fun area where you can walk to great shopping and eateries in the Meatpacking District. It runs right along the High Line which is a cool walking trail/park. The first two nights I stayed in basic queen room and found it very...

Had a corp. event nearby and this was our hotel to stay. Check in was slow and room wasn't ready. Staff is just ok not overly friendly. The room was serviceable but nothing special. I was told it was an upgraded room. Small room (if you travel in Europe you will be fine). Bunch of us came back to hotel...

Hi William Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry to hear you had a less than impressive experience. The Standard is that kind of place one has to go in the right mood and with the proper expectations. Because truly i guess it can be a great place to stay, or rather a disappointment. For those who lived on another planet for the last years, the Standard stands for one of the hippest coolest places in NYC… or...

Hi Jean Thank you for your recent stay and for sharing your feedback of The Standard, High Line. It's wonderful to hear that you felt at home in your guest room, though we will have to take a look at those shades as they are designed to black out the entire room. The Standard is a lot of things but it definitely isn't standard. So what is it? Well, it's cool (possibly too cool), it's stylish, it's well located and it's now a real destination in itself in New York with the hip crowd flocking to the rooftop bar/club (Le Bain) and to the Grill for brunch. The new Whitney museum next...

I have had my eye on the Standard for several years now. Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
