The location and photos looked promising, but the reality was much different during our stay. The room was tired looking, lamp shades had holes in them and the HVAC just wasn't working well. The thermostat was set on 71 degrees, but it felt like 60. When we turned it up to 72, the room felt like it was 80. Once...

Great price for heart of manhattan. Complimentary breakfast was not good but there are plenty of food options nearby. Close to the major transportation hubs and around corner from Empire State Building

If you like small, cramped rooms with the heat fan blowing on high all the time, (or else just turning it off completely), scratchy towels (my gym towels are better), outdated rooms, then this is the place for you! :( we stayed next door at the Hilton Garen Inn and I advise staying there. The location is the same-excellent and...

Couldn't ask for a better location. So much to do and easily accessible. The staff was top notch and very attentive. The complimentary breakfast was very good. It was continually replenished and a good variety. The rooms are clean. A little small, but it's NYC.

A comfortable hotel in a convenient location, with the choice of paying a little extra for a view of the Empire State Building. We booked because we wanted to stay in that area and we found a great deal on a booking website. Having limited mobility I was pleased by the close bus and subway stops. The free Wi-Fi is...

We arrived at our hotel at around 7pm and after 20 hours of flying to be told that they did not have a room for us and we were going to be put up at another hotel behind them. Considering we had booked this 8 months in advance you can imagine my reaction. To say I was unimpressed was pretty...

I stayed here because it was right near my office location. It's nice to have the free buffet as an option in a rather pricey city locale. My room was very clean though on the small side. (But, come on...it's New York!) The hotel is about a 15 minute walk (tops!) to Time Square with plenty of public transportation options....

Location is great....right near Macy's. My wife and I loved that part....Free coffee and tea all day long....AWESOME Elevators are slow...A lot of waste in the breakfast area...Food was good like always but man do they throw away SO MUCH FOOD instead of doing something else with it...there must be a better solution than throwing 75 turkey sausage links in...

Nice friendly staff and was a good value but rooms were way too small and elevator service was difficult with only two for that sized hotel. If not for elevator service, lack of fitness equipment, and elevators, it would have been fine.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
