After walking pass "The Garden's" decorative yurts and finding I needed reservations we settled into the dining area. We enjoyed a light dessert and flirty banter. There was a charming photo booth down near the restrooms. After a few drinks we decided to check out what an evening at The Standard had to offer. At the front desk we check to see if they had a room available with such short notice. Luckily they did and the check-in process was simple and discreet. The room was not only clean and spacious but had a breathtaking view that continued throughout into the bathroom. Every corner of the space is perfect for any photogenic moment. The room service menu caters to a healthy yet flavorful pallet. (I went with the acai bowl). With a noon check out staying in was an easy tasks. The front desk attendant was pleasant and informative with assisting with check out Moving forward, The Standard will be my go to hotel whenever I'm in Manhattan.…
I was indecisive on where to stay and looked for HOURS. I had never really been to Manhattan and we were going for a quick weekend. I highly recommend this location. We upgraded to a king corner room and it was well worth it. It’s tub was incredible and the fridge was stocked with anything you want. Got a time lapse of the beautiful sunrise over the city. It’s hard to feel a place out by looking at pictures and at first I thought the room looked bland, but it’s actually perfect. The bed it INCREDIBLY comfortable... we actually want to get the same mattress topper at home now. The room is simple and cool but perfect for a quick stay as we were exploring the city most of the time. Parking is easy (around the corner) and they will hold your bags if you want to keep exploring. Oh yeah and you have access to the penthouse on the 21st floor with an incredible (almost) 360 view of the city around you. You definitely have to check it out.…
The Standard is in the absolute heart of the East Village. If you're coming to NYC to see the sights, there's no better location than this. Their outdoor dining was delicious, and they even had adorable little "yurts" set up to make things extra cozy! Every part of the experience was great and we can't wait to come back.
Booked this last minute for a quick trip to NYC with my kids and had the best experience! The hotel staff was super nice and accodomating. Great location where you can walk to a lot of places and also multiple subway stops close by. The rooms were clean and bright with great views. The best surprise was the rooftop deck! 360 degree views of NY. Looking forward to returning for another stay!
The Standard East Village is located in a prime spot. You have union square, east village, and a short walk to Soho. Aside from the location, the amenities that this hotel provides were enjoyed by us all! My kids and I ate on the rooftop overlooking the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower! They had an awesome ping pong table my kids enjoyed playing with. The Standard East Village also provided bikes! My bestie and I took a bike ride along the east river and it was gorgeous!
