The hotel is perfectly located as a base to get around. More importantly, the staff is terrific. They really try harder. Free hot chocolate and cookies travel packs for the day and a very nice breakfast included. This is a great place for your NYC visit

This property is advertised as a new Holiday Inn Express. The only thing new was probably the name plate over the door. It is also advertised as om the heart of the theater district when in fact it is in the heart of the garment district. Basically a hole in the wall with 4 rooms to a floor. We reserved...

We have used Holiday Inn hotels over a number of years.Just lots of inexcusable issues that should have been avoided during this stay.1 or 2 is to be accepted, but not 8. The ones I can remember:- Stayed here for 7 nights. No gluten free breakfast provided for coeliac, but checked before booking, emailed a few days before arrival and no response.Reminded...

Different from the Holiday Inn in Milan, Paris and Los Angeles (which I've stayed and were great), this Express is very average, not to mention bad. Despite a great service from the reception staff, the hotel itself is very popular. Only two elevators that are literally impossible to use during the morning, because always crowded with guests who go down...

I stayed here for three nights during a pre-holiday visit that culminated with a Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden. The room was small, but very nicely appointed, with a nice king bed, desk and chair and a nice-sized bathroom. The location was super convenient to several very good restaurants in the area, not too far from Macy's and...

My family of six recently stayed four nights. We had two rooms side by side and had a wonderful time! The rooms were NYC small but the layout made it seem bigger. Nice big showers and comfortable beds. The staff was courteous and eager to please. Would stay again in a New York minute!

Recently stayed here as a family of 4. Rooms were small but they all are in the heart of NYC. Room was clean and bathroom was large. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. This hotel is located right in Times Square so the location is perfect!

Title says it all. Rooms are small (but hey this is New York), and the place for breakfast so small that most folks just grab the food and took them to their rooms. Service acceptable. Overall a good base if you want an inexpensive base for New York for a couple of days.

We got a room in level LL, which is sort of in the basement, but you do get something like half of a window. The room is small, but it is good enough considering it's Manhattan. One bad thing is that the vending machine is just outside of our room, and the wall of the room is so thin that...

Friendly desk staff and good continental breakfast. Rooms were clean but showing their age. Long waits for the elevators often because cleaning staff had to use the same elevators to move their carts from floor to floor.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
