Some friends and I stayed here for New Years, and comparatively the price was one of the lowest we could find ($390 for the the night on new years). The hotel reminded me of nice hostels I've stayed in in Europe. It was a smaller hotel definitely targeted for young people and those travelling, and the location was not ideal...

Dear Alex, Thank you for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the Marrakech Hotel. I am glad to see, my team was able to move you to a larger room. I will be discussing the cleanliness of the shower with my Executive Housekeeper so it does not happen again in the future. If your travels bring...

I made a last minute reservation at Marrakech. I looked at their website and it appeared to be a small yet attractive hotel. Upon arrival I realized it was quite the opposite. There were other guest already complaining about rooms and were trying to get the rooms switched; however, the place was sold out that night. The rooms are extremely...

This hotel is a bit far uptown on 103th/Broadway. There is a subway station in front of the hotel. For breakfast there is a Starbugs in the building. There is no elevator in the hotel but the staff is willing to carry your bags. Our room had a private bathroom which is a must for me. The hotel has a...

We stayed at this hotel after the hotel we originally booked with, had made a double booking. The service we received here was very good at all times. During the first night we were woken up by the sweltering heat, feeling like we were actually in Marrakech in the height of Summer! We were again woken for about an hour...

Boutique: A small company that provides highly specialized goods or services. Well, the Marrakech Hotel is highly specialized in stairs, uncontrollable heating and cooling and tiny rooms--even by NYC standards. I booked the room as a "Top Secret" on Travelocity, which is another story--stick with Priceline or Hotwire. The only big plus for this property is that it is directly...

I stayed here once and it was a nice little boutique hotel. There were only a few problems I had with the place. First of all, the shower was tiny and not that clean. The location is not that great, it is kind of a ways off from the action. Also, when you open the door, you have to go...

Going to NYC usually means finding affordable housing - and that it was. Not fancy (stretches meaning of 'boutique'), but very comfortable bed to collapse in after busy days. Rooms are tiny, and ours was incredibly hot: can't control the steam heat, but ran the air conditioner . . . But really, the visit is spent enjoying the city, not...

Dear Greg, I am sorry you did not enjoy your time in New York City. I have been reviewing your comments and take all comments serious. The Marrakech Hotel is located on Broadway and 103rd Street, just steps from the #1 subway, which is part of the red line (1, 2, and 3 trains). Unfortunately with thousands of stores in...

Not sure about you, but where I come from "boutique" hotel means something different... Dear Lena, Thank you for your comments. I appologize you feel the Marrakech did not meet your standards. The Marrakech Hotel is Morrocan Theme Boutique Hotel and has many unique characteristics.
