Great hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Good ambience in bar. Good eating around hotel. Definitely recommend. Understated. Will use again if visiting New York. Could use a little more storage in rooms.

Just returned home after a fantastic stay at Morgans Hotel. My husband and I stayed for his 50th Birthday and were upgraded to a 1 bed suite on the 14th Floor with views of the Empire State. This is my 3rd trip to NY and the 1st time at Morgans and I am delighted to say that I will return...

You would walk past Morgans on Madison without realising its a hotel. Once inside, pleasant staff and rooms were fine. Internet wifi was having problems during my stay, constantly dropping but the free breakfast buffet (I hate paying a huge amount for breakfast) and the friendly bar staff more than compensated.

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Morgans Hotel NYC. Really nice hotel with great décor and amenities. Has a smaller more boutique feel than other hotels in the city which was perfect for my girlfriend and I. Rooms were really comfortable and toiletries provided amazing. Returning from a day out one evening the heating system in the room...

We stayed here between the 8th & 10th Dec 2016 after a cruise on the Queen Mary 2. Everything we could ask for. Great walking distance from everything and fantastic staff, always looking to help. Room was very clean and the breakfast was good although would probably get repetitive if staying longer that 4 days Lighting has been mentioned before and it is difficult to work out what floor you are pressing for in the lift. MY husband booked this hotel for a special birthday trip in my 50th year - part of my birthday surprise. Loved, loved, loved this hotel. Well located, we walked everywhere from here, simple breakfast, and fantastic concierge. Our room was brilliant, larger than expected, really comfy bed and whilst the controls for the shower were tricky, once we got the hang of it, the shower was fab. Only strange thing was they didn't have the name of the Hotel outside...

Gratuities are expected in New York. Not necessarily earnt. And you will be chased as you leave as to why you haven't left 15%.. makes it a uncomfortable time. Better if at book in you are alerted to this. Then you will expect more than normal service to deserve a extra 15%.

The good - great location near Grand Central Station in quietish Murray Hill. Reception and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. The bad - dim lighting in elevators and rooms needs updating. Air conditioning not great either. The should do better - hot water to make drinks unavailable between late evening and breakfast.
