The Casablanca had it all... great location, amazing staff, clean and comfortable room, wonderful breakfast, and a great wine and cheese reception in the evenings. I was in NYC for business so not a lot of free time, but the location (43rd Street right off Times Square) made it possible to see a lot of midtown on a short schedule....

This was our third time staying at Casablanca, we enjoy the club feel, welcoming staff, and Ricks Cafe. This time we had a suite, booked a long time ahead. For 2 adults and 2 teenagers it is the perfect solution. We had the 2 double beds and the girls shared the sofa. All extremely comfortable with quality linens. We worked...

One of the best nights I've spent in a hotel in the city, in terms of staff attentiveness, service, cleanliness and quietness of the place (maybe that was because I got a room that didn't face the streets). In any case, this is certainly an underrated gem in the city, and I will definitely consider this the next time I...

Virtually in the midst of the madness that is Times Square sits this lovely little place. Nicely decorated with a theme of - guess what - Casablanca (the film not the place). The rooms are smallish, and certainly our air-con was noisy, but that kept out the noise from times square. the bed was comfy, and above all the service...

Two steps and we were in the heart of Times Square; a bigger hotel than their sister, Library Hotel, which made it less friendly but not enough to deter me wishing to stay again. By no means a complaint as my first trip to New York was amazing, but the lights from the Square were visible in the room, however...

Stayed at the Casablanca for a week in July. Though just a few metres from Times Square, the Casablanca is a welcoming refuge from the crush of people. (Besides, if you want to avoid Times Square, just turn left once out of the hotel doors and you're half a block from 6th Ave and a different environment.) What impressed us...

Returned on Tuesday from a 4 night stay in the Casablanca. Absolutely wonderful experience!!! Staff were super courteous and friendly. Complementary breakfast, 8am till 10am, complementary tea/coffee, pastries/biscuits all day, and complementary cheese and wine 5pm till 8pm, just the thing after a hard day around the hustle and bustle of New York. Not as glam as some of the...

My husband and I stayed at the Casablanca in late June 2013, we had 2 days there before taking a side trip to Boston by train, the hotel stored our suitcases while we were away so we could just take our hand luggage which was great. Upon our return we were greeted with a lovely 'welcome home'!! That sums up...

We used The Casablanca for a 4-night stay in New York, and it made a great base for everything we wanted to do. Choose it if you like friendly surroundings, and don't mind rooms a little on the small side, but it doesn't suit those who like large impersonal hotels with loads of space and facilities. It is not 5-star,...

Our stay at the Casablanca hotel in May this year was superb. Despite some initial worries when booking the room with regards to not being guanteed to get a room with the specifications that we wanted, not only did we get our room, but the hotel could not do enough for us once we arrived. The staff were extremley helpful...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
