When you walk into the hotel and they call you by name; when you ride the elevator and you meet someone from around the world and make acquaintance; when the desk clerk slides a 'birthday card' under your door - - now that's an experience you treasure. the best hotel experience in all our travels.

My husband and i have just come back from 4 days in New York today (27.05.17) and we really can't understand the negative reviewers on here - you've stayed in the busiest city in the world. What did you expect? Here is our take on things: From the moment we arrived we experienced nothing but friendliness; nothing was too much...

I agree with other reviewers in saying that this is a great little hotel in a nice central and desirable location. The staff was super helpful in answering my questions on how to get to different places and found us cabs quickly. We booked a regular room and were surprised that it was actually a nice little suite, with a...

Stayed here for a wedding party for a week. Great location and great hotel, nothing too much trouble. If you can get past Chris , on the front desks, terrible jokes (great banter) then I don't see how you could fail to enjoy your stay here. Not the first time I've stayed here and it won't be the last. My first...

The Fitzpatrick was a great place to stay in Manhattan. Staff was so friendly; room was clean and comfortable. Nice location within walking distance to several spots. I would definitely stay at the Fitzpatrick again.

My wife and I had a pretty rough stay here. Rooms are old, not well maintained, very noisy, the building shakes every time a subway train passes under the building and you can hear people in the hallway. As always, staff are mostly friendly and just trying to do their job but what made me give 1 star instead of...

Very, very nice hotel. Between the staff, rooms and location, I don't think you can beat it. I needed help zipping up my dress and called the front desk. Someone was up to help me in less than three minutes.

We didn't enjoy our stay at Fitzpatrick Manhattan for several reasons. Firstly, our room was on the lower floor and the noise is unbearable. In case the street noise isn't enough, the subways makes the building shake every time a train passes. Next, we had a do not disturb sign up and the hotel staff didn't respect it and entered...

Great room - beds were so comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful especially John in the Bar who was always engaging. Location is good near a subway and Central Park with Rockerfeller Centre within walking distance. I did feel that the bar was a little dark and dated and could do with an upgrade but that is just a minor...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“Suites are more money but really worth the price. I believe they are in the front of the hotel, so a higher floor will reduce street noise.”
