Hotel's Favourite
Having stayed in the Big Apple more than 15 times, I must say that this hotel is now my very favourite. Not only is it a convenient short walk to Times Square, but the service is the best I've ever experienced in New York, thanks to the bell staff. I had a lot of time to kill between checking out and my flight. The bell staff couldn't have been more accomodating, from storing my luggage to ensuring I was comfortable in the lobby, have a plug in for my phone and even getting me water and cookies before leaving to take the bus to La Guardia. Throughout the 4 nights I stayed there, every time I came in and out of the hotel, I was greeted warmly. I so wish I could remember one particular bell staff name as he went over and above to make me feel comfortable. The room was a great size (2 queens) for New York, with all the ammenities and was cleaned beautifully each and every day. There was good storage space in the bathroom for 2 women. I would definitely stay at this hotel again! Don't look anywhere else, this is the best place to stay!

This hotel has a rooftop bar with a large balcony on 37th floor with great views in several directions. The gym is spacious and fresh, but lacks a proper spinning bike with watt meter (ic7 or ic8 are great). The bed is very comfortable! Unusually good for a hotel! I don’t like that the duvet is not in a sack shaped linen, but in two flat bits, which means the duvet gets exposed and I kind of ”share bed” with 100 people that was here before me... The warm cookie they have for free (for members) are a great plus too. The breakfast is too expensive at $22, no breakfast of this kind is worth over 10-12 dollars, so finding alternate breakfasts becomes a nuisance in the morning. The elevators need reprogramming, especially the method to get to the bar which only 2 (1 sometimes) of 4 elevators serve. A specific button or double clicking should prevent the other elevators from trying to get you. The doors won’t stop closing if you put a foot or try to force them to not close. How dangerous isn’t that?! Of course a small resistance should be sensed and doors opened immediately! All in all, a good hotel and I’m sure I’ll come again.

Overall, I found my stay here very pleasant. Was originally booked as part of a British Airways Holidays trip, and was very close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal Subway station. The check in experience was very easy (especially as one of hotels to allow a 19 year old to register vs most others needing guests over 21 to check-in), and you will also get the DoubleTree cookies upon check in, which are very tasty. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping staff appeared to be very attentive to detail. The only one issue is that the lifts can be slightly frustrating to wait for, but I never waited for over 2 minutes, so only a minor issue. Overall very happy with my stay here, for quite a reasonable package price included with my flights.

We want to congratulate you both on your marriage. Our team is committed to ensuring our guests have an exceptional stay, and we are glad to know you liked our convenient location as well as the courteous staff. We will surely share your kind compliments with them, especially the associates you mentioned. However, we are sorry for not providing the amount of space in your room that you receive at our other locations. Being located in the city means that everything is city-sized. We appreciate you choosing DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York Times Square West to celebrate this special time in your life, and we hope you will revisit the next time you are in New York. Thank you, and we send all our best for your future together. Richard Hotter General Manager

It does not have a Times Square view. It is actually about two-ish blocks from all the lights and marquises.

No The hotel faces Times Square, the opposite direction to the Empire State Building. You can always email the hotel direct to double check, but I am sure they will state it doesnt. Hope this helps
