Well then I have a lot to say about the cleanliness of this hotel. I will sum it up in one word: very bad! The hotel is not clean at all. In the public areas a lot of dust, in the rooms stench of sewage, the curtains in the shower are disgusting with the smell of urine, cobwebs in the windows, blockage and water that does not go down well in the bath and sink, improper lighting and electrical contacts and flashing lamps, windows do not stay open. Queue and wait quite a long time, time for the elevator. The hotel staff was great, their service is very kind and tolerant, the location of the hotel is excellent. The room was like a pretty small double beds but hydrated in Google well, relative to the size of the rooms in New York City but that's it. More than that there is nothing good.

We got the cheapest room and werent sorry. We were snug as bugs in room 3002. Room was less than 100 per nite. Wow. Room was clean and cozy. Service was excellent. There was tons of signage abt elevator limits due to covid. Some people ignored it but it wasnt the hotels job to yell at them. I thought in the time of covid, it was great. PS wish you could have coffee in room or somewhere in hotel

For context my intent was for this to be a Babymoon with my wife. This isn’t anywhere close to a 4 star hotel. The hotel is quite outdated. The rooms aren’t very clean (stains on upholstery and sheets, pulled up carpet, loud air unit, cigarette butts left on terrace on arrival, gross sticky goo from when everything was taken out of the mini bar for COVID regulations I presume). The elevators are falling apart, literally falling apart (a mounted solid molding just fell out randomly and almost hit someone in the elevator). There’s a pandemic and NO ONE in the hotel is monitoring packed elevators with unassociated people from the lobby (floors can’t expect to monitor). Only one floor (18th floor) with ice machine in appx. 30 floor hotel. Just an EPIC waste of money and massive disappointment.

Dear Steve, Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding you recent stay at Warwick New York Hotel. The time you devoted is appreciated as without your comments we may not be aware of. All of us at Warwick New York take great pride in our hotel and the reputation we have garnered over the years. It upsets us when we hear of our shortcomings. Our sincere apologies that your stay was not as you expected. I have discussed your comments with our Director of Housekeeping so that she can address the housekeeping issues you noted. The elevator molding has been repaired, it had been bumped by someone's luggage. In regards to the ice machines we have purposely turned off several. Due to the reduced occupancy resulting from the pandemic the ice and water sit too long in the machines fostering bacterial growth such as legionnaires With the warmer season approaching and business slowly coming back we will be putting them all back on line. Though we are well past a year of this pandemic- despite and abundant amount of posting and communication people still need to be reminded to wear face masks, practice social distancing and elevator use. We continue to be vigilant in this effort until we are back to normalcy. We do hope that you would consider staying with us in the future to give us an opportunity to deliver the service and product I know we are capable of. Please feel free to contact me personally so that I can ensure the comfort of your stay. The hotel serves the purpose: a reasonably priced place to stay in NYC in a good location. It is nothing special but it is not bad. There were a few things little things that should be addresses: no trashcan in the bathroom, NO TISSUES in the room, no outlets near the bed for charging phone. Front desk was helpful & attentive. Room was clean. Great location. (was visiting daughter at Fordham Lincoln Ctr Campus) The parking was an issue but that is not the fault of the hotel. Parking across street...could not find our car...took 30min to resolve.

My son and I stayed 5 nights at the Warwick and it was incredible. The room was great and had a wonderful view of midtown. The staff was super nice and very helpful, especially Marc. He walked us through our entire stay before we arrived.
