Dog friendly. Stagecoach Inn is in the center of town. Budget oriented for those who want a clean place to stay with no need for all the comforts of home - just an inexpensive stop-over while on the road. Nothing to brag about. We've stayed in the high end places with all the amenities and we've stayed in the dregs....

Comfortable room with okay internet. Air conditioning and heat work well, a lot of television channels, friendly staff, and as a bonus: a good restaurant on-site with $10 senior plates with drink and salad included (shrimp and steak available, too). Nice pool and it has a small playground for the children.

We didn't even get into Carlsbad until 10 pm and as we were looking for hotels we were shocked at the prices. We like staying in non-chain type motels so we looked at the Stagecoach reviews, which were overall ok. The room was really big. Kind of a cool 60's style wall separates the spacious bathroom area from the bedroom....

I found this motel by accident, went into one just before good job I looked at the room first was awful seedy place so I carried on one block and found this felt much better Room clean and comfortable good free wifi had a pool and play area near restaurants seemed a reasonable price about what I was paying most...

Hotel rates in Carlsbad are WAY higher than you might expect, not sure why. This is an ok place to stay, probably nicer in the summer as it has what appears to be a good pool and play area for kids. Staff is nice and helpful, but compared to most cities I expect that most customers would not be happy...

It is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed. The price is outrageous! Never again! Towels are dirty. Promised Wi-Fi. No Wi-Fi! Everything is disgusting!!!! Outdated furniture. Where did they get such old beds?

2 things first: 1. Carlsbad is crazy expensive/inflated for some reason, think Fairfield Marriott from $250/night and Days Inn from $160/night. 2. I don't consider myself a hotel/motel snob by any means - my husband and I were traveling across country from NC to CA with our 2 dogs, and have been staying at various $50-80/night motels throughout the stay....

Carlsbad hotel prices (even for very poor smelly motels) are through the roof, so we didn't have that much of a choice as we came there to stay for about a week for business. The price was still much higher than we normally pay for places like this and no weekly rates, but it was still lower than network hotels...

The motel prices in Carlsbad are high so we decided to try a local rather than chain motel and based on reviews this seemed the best choice. Pros: the room was large, clean, and the beds comfortable. Cons: it is an older place and shows the wear, there are no amenities like shampoo, hair dryer, coffee pot etc. It appeared...

my husband stayed there 4 nights in the summer 2013 and he came home to infest my guest room of bed bugs. we had to get rid of the whole bedroom set and pay someone to spray the whole room. will never stay there again. if you decide to stay there please check the bed and carpet for bugs.
