My Husband and I decided last minute for a getaway to go to Manteo overnight. We did not have any accommodations booked and just walked in off the street to find this gem. Our room was lovely and the hotel has beautiful views on either...More
We just finished our second 4 day trip to the Cottage and it was as wonderful as the first. Dee is fantastic at delivering everything you need, and the home continues to be in pristine condition.

Innkeeper Dee and assistant keeper Sarah are the definition of southern hospitality and graciousness. They were so friendly, knowledgeable about the area's rich history, and willing to take the time to tell us about it and other attractions. They made our stay so special! Thank...More

That is not correct. I should know, because I slice and prepare the fresh fruit every morning. The guest who commented may have been up earlier than it is layed out: 8-11 am. I decide on what fruit that day and I shop for it the day before. Maybe strawberries and blueberries, bananas, apples, oranges, and/ or melons. We serve a variety of fresh fruit, Danish, muffins, bagels, yogurt and about 7-8 varieties of cereals. Instant oatmeal. We do not have cooking facilities so this " continental" self serve breakfast is much more than most.
