No service whatsoever. Room is minimally comfortable (not at all) and smells bad. No maid service, and no-one at desk or available after hours if you need something (like toilet paper).

The room this writer stayed in was repainted and new carpet installed this spring-how could it smell? All private baths are large enough for a comfortable sitting area within the room. We do not provide maid service if someone has their do not disturb tag on the door which they may have done. Our office is manned 9-9 and after...

There are few places left in the U.S. that have not been commercialized, over developed, and stripped of their unique character. Wellfleet , however, has managed to escape this unfortunate fate, so far. It is a survivor of an idyllic Cape Cod that has largely disappeared and is only seen in Edward Hopper paintings or described in nostalgic Yankee Magazine...

Thank you so much for your honest review. We always look forward to your many weekends here at The Holden Inn.

My relatives and I have stayed here over the years and appreciate the great location and quaint atmosphere- you are staying in an old house, almost like a camp. It's simple but sufficient and the location is wonderful and prices reasonable. Great to walk to the marina and bay beach, and to the galleries and eateries down the street.

I have been coming to Wellfleet with my family since I was a young child, and after traveling to many places near and far I still regard Wellfleet as one of the best places on earth. Last summer we decided to stay at the Holden Inn for a couple of nights. I have stayed there in previous years so I...

It's charming on the outside, but if you are looking for a place to stay that provides value even close to what you have to pay, look elsewhere. Even the budget motels provide soap, but not this place. We had to get our own. They changed the threadbare bath towels each day, but that was it. The beds were old...

We have stayed at the Holden Inn multiple times and it just keeps getting better. The folks who run it are VERY friendly, and keep it feeling like a little bit of home by the seashore. It's got an old-fashioned feeling, but it's also clean and comfortable. It's just a warm home away from home, and a really great value....

You must heed our warning and stay far from this place! Seriously, if given the choice of repeating our experience at the Holden Inn, Wellfleet, MA or going for a root-cannel I’d choose the latter in a heart beat! I’ll try to keep this as short as I can. Note: this is all fact, we are not drinkers nor smokers;...

Here at The Holden Inn we have developed policies and rules to protect the privacy and peace of other guests. Some characters just can't follow any of these no matter where they are. The facts are that a middles aged couple came to the inn and inquired about staying with us for one night before they got married. I showed...

Just returned with my wife from about 20 total days at the Holden Inn, spread over about 6 weeks... our 5th-straight year staying here. In short, if you appreciate what Wellfleet is all about, what's not to love? Wellfleet is a hip, funky (in best sense), artsy, outdoorsy oasis... one of last authentic let-your-hair-down spots in US (note: I've traveled...

My husband had our wedding ceremony and reception here at the Holden Inn and it could not have been a more perfect day. Our wedding was over the July 4th weekend which was perfect weather for an outdoor wedding. We certainly owe some credit to our venders as well (Macs Seafood for our Caterer, Cottage Street Bakery for our delicious...

Arriving at the Holden Inn was literally the worst experience of my life. We arrived to the Inn and were aware that there were no amenties but this was like staying at summer camp when I was a child. First of all, the pictures on the website are NOTHING like what the rooms and bathrooms actually look like. Not only...

The website of The Holden Inn clearly identifies the room difference between private and shared bath and was correctly explained when the reservation was made. All beddings are in great shape and of course do have a mattress along with the boxspring. We are known for our superb cleanliness and always pass health inspections. When this customer late in the...
