My wife and I started our summer with another stay at the Holden Inn Memorial Day weekend and were extremely pleased as usual. A new offering this year is complementary coffee in the morning on the front porch of the Inn. A cup of coffee while stting in a rocking chair on the picturesqe porch is a great way to... More

Our idea was to go to Wellfleet, invite a few family members & select friends (we were 12 in total) and get married. We wanted low key and congenial. We wanted hands-off. We wanted privacy and consideration. We got it all at the Holden Inn. This is a New England inn, people, it isn't a boutique hotel or a themed... More

We have stayed here twice: once in room 4 in the Summer, and most recently in room 3. I have three problems with this place, two of which are easily fixed by management: 1. There are steep and narrow stairs to the second floor of the main building (rooms 2, 3, and 4). The treads on those stairs are very... More

The Holden Inn is a special place. My girlfriend and I stayed there over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful visit. I have spent every summer of my life in Wellfleet, but rather than stay at my family's cottage, we decided to hide away at the Holden Inn to create our own memories and experience of Wellfleet (aka the... This B&B could do a great job. However, the reality is the place is tired. From our arrival the staff barely acknowledged us and we found our room in a just about ready state. The bedding had been changed but only some surfaces had recently been dusted and the floor was unhoovered. The private bathroom we paid extra for was... More

We stayed for one night. Read many reviews and they were basically accurate. Could be a fantastic place with old New England charm, but... We were greeted a bit lack luster, with limited communication from the gentleman on the front porch. Found the room with no problem, #8 at the cottage. Cute, with private bathroom, but no shower... No problem... More

We were grateful to be able to get a room at the last minute, and appreciated the prompt e-reply, but there was some confusion over the telephone because of language issues. Not convenient that they only accept a check for a deposit; no credit card, no PayPal. Certainly not a communicative staff; no idea what to do with our key... More

We got married several weeks ago at the Holden Inn. We couldn't have made a better choice! The property is beautiful and in the perfect location. And Fred and Patty Young, who run the Holden Inn are super nice, accommodating and hospitable. We rented out the whole place for two days and a large chunk of our guests stayed there... More

My husband and I have returned to The Holden Inn year after year for the past 20 years. Everything about this place has made our summer experiences at the Cape memorable; the staff, the tranquil setting, the beaches, the art galleries as well as the local history intrinsic to the Cape. We did, however, have one negative experience this past... More

I need to be fair to unsuspecting travelers. This place is AWFUL!! Had difficulty sleeping here; poor quality polyester sheets; mattress cover wouldn't stay tucked in and made lumps; no lamp shade; window wouldn't stay open for fresh air at night; no outlet in bathroom for nightlight, razor, or hairdryer; no light near mirror in bathroom or bedroom dresser;no hook... We are sorry to hear that this guest had an unpleasant stay. We remember taking this reservation early in the season and discribed in depth the rooms available for their dates. Upon their decision we also extended a room discount for the length of stay. Each morning they made requests that we quickly took care of right away. One being... More
