Stayed here two nights to explore Canyon de Chelly, Within walking distance to the National Monument visitors center. Front desk staff very nice. On site restaurant was very good with very friendly wait staff. Will stay here again.
We recently took a tour group of 46 to Canyon de Chelly and stayed at this hotel. Everyone was very pleased with absolutely everything! The rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely finished. The pool area is lovely, and the gift shop has a great variety...More
On a recent two week trip to Arizona, we booked the Holiday Inn in Chinle partly for its moderate cost, and mainly because of its proximity to Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley. The hotel sits on Navajo land as does the town of Chinle....More
This is a good, clean hotel located close to beautiful Canyon de Chelly. The room was clean and well appointed and comfortable. The food was mediocre and the salad at dinner was mostly sad iceberg lettuce and the green beans tasted canned. The staff was...More
Nice basic hotel without a couple of the things you might expect from a Holiday Inn. You are given a breakfast coupon for an entree at the adjoining restaurant that can be used for the breakfast buffet. But it is not as complete as some...More

I agree that the Holiday Inn was great in every aspect. Really nice property with rooms around a large grassy area. Room was all you could want with small patio. Very reasonable restaurant that featured a few local dishes, such as Navajo frybread and blue corn crusted trout that were nothing special but fine. Gift shop (but not open on weekends.) BW surrounds a parking lot and coffee shop. Guide told us Tbird was older but maybe he has relatives at HI ;) Honestly, we thought it was the most attractive Holiday Inn we've ever stayed at (IHG members) and interesting history (former trading post).
