Maybe we should have waited until the flowers were blooming. The first part of the trip was a walk in the garden. We heard some history, but only saw about 3 different flowers blooming. We took an open cart next through the woods and got soaked by a cold rain. The woods were devoid of anything growing. We did see...

Visiting Magnolia is very easy since it's a free self-guided tour that you can do at your own pace. Pick up a map/guide when you arrive and wander about as little or as long as you wish. There's even a cellphone app that walks you through the grounds. It's not especially scenic, but has some outbuildings, slave quarters, and even...

Free tour, right down the road from the other homes. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of picnic tables so you could bring a lunch on a nice day. Very pretty picture potential for families. The main home is still occupied and not available for tour except by appointment. Call ahead to see if a tour is available, otherwise the...

Tho we enjoyed the barn and one of the cabins, the other buildings were disappointing.. The most beautiful thing was the amazing trees. Goo! History facts, but not alot to see. Free is what makesnit worth while.

The Magnolia Plantation starts out with one of the plantation houses that have been converted to an information building for the plantation. There are several brick buildings that are not available for entry. The grounds are clean and well maintained. There is also a large wooden barn with many original farm and period machines. There is even an old original...

Pretty neat little place to walk through. We were the only people ther and we walked through and listened to a app guide on our phone about the historical events and information on its surroundings. A lot has been redone and you can only go inside one of the slave quarters, and the kids enjoyed looking for pecans. If your...

This site is great for a visit during a trip to this area. You can walk in any of the structures at your leisure. Information is plentiful and it's a great way to spend a couple of hours. You can stop on the way and bring a picnic lunch or a twenty minute drive down the road you can find...
