Stayed a few nights at this hotel in the middle of Gaslamp District. Location was the best - easy to get to restaurants, the mall, clubs, bars, and the metro. The hotel itself is beautiful - grand lobby, comfy sitting areas, and very pleasant staff. The rooms are nice, fairly spacious, clean. The bathroom door in our room was located...

This hotel set in a regenerated old bank building is well located in downtown San Diego. It is within comfortable walking distance of a number of attractions including Petco Stadium and the Midway. There is a tram which covers a wide are of San Diego and a stop for the tram is located just behind the hotel. The lobby is...

Dear Richard K, Thank you for staying with us and your nice feedback! In addition to being located very centrally in downtown so very easy walking distance to many attractions, dining, and nightlife- we are also not even a block away from the Fifth Avenue Trolley Station which as you said covers much of the San Diego area. Thank you...

The hotel was reasonably priced and I will visit again. I enjoyed the historical features of this property. The staff was very helpful especially Omnia at check in. She helped me with restaurant recommendations and places to go. The valet was a little expensive so I parked at the lot two blocks away.

Stayed here with a group of friends on a golf trip. Hotel staff was friendly and willing to assist. Omnia at check in went above and beyond so we can have a great stay. She upgraded our rooms and gave us a bunch of restaurant recommendations in the area without breaking the bank. I will definitely come back because of...

The building is an old bank and is quite majestic and better than most Marriott's. The staff were very attentive and the room was excellent. The rooms do not have views other than some buildings next door but this is as good as Marriott gets in San Diego which makes you question why it is only a Courtyard.

Dear Oldjack, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to give us your feedback! Your too sweet! We wonder the same thing sometimes and almost wish we were a full-service property versus a Courtyard Brand Hotel under Marriott. But by far, we are one of the most unique and one of the better Courtyard Properties around! Thank...

Prime location, close to most attractions. Decent rooms though views are not always as spectacular as claimed. Would not recommend paying extra for the view in this property.Check out the vault in the basement.

Dear Ravi P, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our property. We also feel we are very ideally located in downtown San Diego- close to many attractions, food, and nightlife! The star rating of hotels is outdated and needs revision. Rarely, in my opinion is a "five star' hotel five star.... I'll have to make an exception for this one. Five stars on location, decor, staff, amenities, food, and the infrastructure (elevator). I never had to wait more than thirty (or is it twenty?) seconds for the lift. The decor...

Enjoyed our stay the only problem was all the homeless people hanging around begging you for money or cigarettes when you go outside. Some yelled at us a few times so my husband had to walk with my daughter and I even if it was just down to the corner because it was scary. A lot of places to eat...

This property is a converted bank from the 1920s that still has the original detailed ceiling work and vault doors on the lower level. Has all amenities typical for a Courtyard and rooms are reasonably up to date. The microwave in the room was oddly situated in a cabinet above 2 drawers which made it a bit awkward to use...
